All the naming on those sites can be goofy. If Grassy Gap is on your left, Horseshoe ridge (I think also called S Bryant Creek) is about a 1/4 mile further down the road on the left. Dips down from the road so can be hard to see the entrance. It's a short out and back, probably 20 min or so if you want to do it first.

Thanks man! I'll go check it out too. I'm currently on grassy gap. I'd recommend to avoid it with 2wd trucks. It has quite a few washouts.

Hey, I'm also 2wd and was able to do basically every trail I tried at Iron Mountain. If you ever wanna hit a trail with one of my 4wd friends (in case of recovery) let me know. It's a little hard to find time between highschool, my job, and other matters, but just holler if you want to do a trail.

Woah, 37s!? I finally get a chance to hang out with the big boys. :rofl:Seriously, though, you've got to share some photos once they're on! Im still looking for some all terrains or light mud terrains so I can get these dern' highway tires off. For what it's worth, the stock Toyos are doing amazing in every condition, including off road! Better than my old Terra Graps! Let me know how it goes! :broccoli:

All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
You just need to go ahead and get a crawl box and straight axle the mutha!

I'm sure skinny pedal can make it though. I just try to not spin. Slow and steady to not tear my truck up or ruin trails that lead to closure. Haha. And if you are careful I think you can avoid most of the hard stuff. When are you gonna put a front diff in that monster?

Yeah. This spot was fun enough for a group trail ride. Looking at the map I see other trails I'm the area so I'll keep yall updated on what all I find today.

I didn't stop to take pics on the trail unfortunately. But some updates I did forest service rd 28-1 and winding stair gap rd. They were well maintained dirt roads so not much fun. Most of the other places I went to ended up having gates. That Bryant creek trail was really annoying because it went for maybe half a mile and then had a gate with nowhere to turn around. The road across from it 262 is the trail @tacomaboned mentioned I think. It has a few muddy spots and one washout with a rock to get over. Then it ends and you turn around. It was a good day though. I'd go back if you guys want to plan a trip. I did take one after the trail photo when I stopped for dinner.

Wow! Looks like a fun time. If we can get a few people to go, that would be great. Just throw out a date and I'll let you know. (Can only do weekends between high school and work) I'll see if I can get some buddies to come along with!

Anyone want to plan a trail day between Christmas and New Years? Location TBD...

    Some quick options:
    1. Musterground Rd/ Chestnut Mountain/ Horsepasture
    2. Hurricane Creek
    3. Big Frog Loop
    4. GA Traverse section
    5. Other: ________

I really enjoyed grassy gap above Dahlonega. It's not really long though. I did it both ways and I don't think it took more than 2 hours. I don't pay attention to a clock either though. I'd definitely be up for a trail ride anywhere on a weekend though.
