Gear lock is a specific transmission tune that configures the transmission shift scheduling to not downshift without the use of S-Mode or coming to a stop. It essentially locks the truck in the current gear, allowing any amount of pedal input while still holding the specified gear.

It's how we dyno automatic trucks and get them to hold 3rd gear. It's popular for others on the street for towing or other uses. It's something we offer and is available on request.

So since I'm running OTT 8, would I be able to add the intake manifold spacer without needing to make a change or upgrade my current tune?

If so, I think I'm going to order the spacer kit.

No need to specifically update the tune by adding the spacer.

I see my Sport's Future with tires like you got...

At that point, I will be getting the best update to my current OTT 8.0 set-up.

I'm just now starting to get the itch...Buahahahahaha!

My Fendy Flares are dreaming of tires that will stick out 1 inch past fenders to meet Delaware Inspection requirements!

Granted, my tags are good until 2027 so technically, I wouldn't be inspected for some time.

I'm starting a "Lift Savings Fund" for at least 6-8 months...it may take longer since I plan on getting use of the tires that came with my Sport.

    Currently at 16K miles.

I noticed my reply with "GIVEAWAY" was deleted. So was the photo of the pipes that were being offered up.

Yeah, one of the tune developers was trying to do something nice and give away a product that he was no longer using. For some reason, though, it got marked as spam, the thread got locked, and posts got deleted.

Maybe they'll be able to set up a giveaway via different means, but for now, it doesn't look like TW will allow it. If it gets sorted, I'm sure the info will be shared here. If not, this thread will continue to be a great resource for information and a great place to ask questions.

I am running the latest OTT version of 9.0. Just tuned it to this yesterday. Previously 7 or 8, not really sure. I have not tried the 9 driving up med to steep inclines yet. Previously though on any sort of incline, trying to maintain 70-75mph, my truck will raise to 35-3600 RPM on any stretch of incline. Mountain/hill driving obviously even higher RPMs. 5.29 gears on 35/12.50-17's. Just curious if OTT is working on or sees a fix in the future that will really clean this up? Obviously much better than stock, but on long Interstate drives, or trips up to the mountains, I hate the way these trucks shift. Looking for some insight and definitely a loyal customer!
    Thanks

Hey @JustDSM - I recently chatted with Barrett out here in Utah, and he was super helpful a far as the questions I had. But one question I have is related to URD timing Cam gears. I installed these a few months back along with a pretty basic Magnaflow exhaust, and I would love to realize the full benefit of the Cam gears.

    - Barrett mentioned that we would likely need to get a custom tune from you or John for the cam gears specifically, so what would be the best place to start with that process? of course I would do the install, ECU flash, etc, with Barrett here locally in late Jan or early Feb.
    - additionally I was wondering what other prerequisite bolt-on mods you may recommend to take the most advantage of the tune. I've read all the threads on CAI's, so I know there's minimal-to-no gain there, but wondering what else you would recommend, for an N/A application.

Thanks a ton for the help in advance man!
