Front driver side wheel bearing started making a groaning noise at just 42,000 km. No wobble yet but decided to replace it while temps are still above freezing.

My brother and I have been fantasizing over doing the Dempster Highway but considering the drive time to/from it's just a total pipe dream for now

Wondering if there's anything in eastern Canada that is something like a long dirt highway adventure to a "destination" of sorts?

 

We used to call ‘er the Trans Canada but they renamed it after everyone started using it.

 

This is a good long stretch of gravel. Definitely worth the drive to go see Long Point and the rest of James bay area.

Add in the Trans Taiga Road starting south of Radisson and heading east for 580km, all gravel.

 

As in the Trans Canada Trail? I thought that was more for bikes

Yes! Very much what I'm looking for. Still ~1400 miles away, but hell of a lot closer than Dempster at 4,000+ miles away.
