This has been proven false with the carbon footprint needed for resources. Still have to mine the copper, nickel, iron, magnesium and other metals to build engines & transmissions. That mining is & will always be fossil fuel based. I understand what you are saying but Elon Musk has raised the price of copper for example just by Tesla alone. Copper has been the fastest growing metal for over 40yrs btw.

Highly suggest researching the Clovis layer found in NM. There is a literal layer of carbon found to be 10-15,000yrs old, yet here we are. Also, there are more trees on the planet now than ever before, what do trees use as a fuel??? Carbon Dioxide. The planet has both been warmer & higher in CO2 concentrations than we currently have and life survived no problem. Don't fall into the Carbon Cycle trap, it's a sales pitch. Also look into weather modification patents. They have been around since the late 1800's.

Did it have the graphene in it? If not that may be what you need!

If we have 2/3 of the trees now that we had in 1600, how do we have “more trees on the planet than ever before”?

It’s actually been proven correct. Both ICE and EVs require similar carbon footprints to produce the vehicle. An EV powered solely by coal for life still produces slightly lower lifetime emissions than a standard ICE vehicle.

Except it is a biased study because they do not include recycling costs for batteries on EV's. Oh wait, gas cars can be recycled, EV's cannot.

We are still in an ice age, just an interglacial period. Without our disruption we'd soon descend into a horrible situation. Raising greenhouse gasses has been a massive success. Now we just need to not raise temperatures too high. Maybe a solar shield, CO2 absorbers ... possibilities are endless

In 3-4 years of use from new purchase an ice vehicle pollutes more than an ev.

Here’s an engineer explains as others have stated. EVs are better over the long term than an ice over the long term.

you can't argue with the cherry pickers.... they're going to focus on isolated facts or numbers or situations. The internet has plenty of space where they can find somebody else that agrees with them to justify their opinions.

But you can still link the same good info over and over so others following along don't get swept away in the bullshit

    Good work

This week I noted the battery percentage and miles indicated when I parked for the night and first thing in the morning as well as overnight low temperatures. The average worked out to 1.5% battery and 4.5 miles lost at an average 8°F. This is without Gear Guard turned on.

Don't forget the severity in which battery electric cars can burn. These EV on a vehicle transporter weren't involved in a crash or even being driven when they caught fire. Yes the brakes on the trailer very well may have ignited the EV aboard, but had these vehicles been gas powered the fire would have not been as intense. New gas vehicles are not shipped with very much gas in the tank. EV batteries are just as combustible no matter their current rate of remaining charge happens to be.[IMG]

These Rivian EDV’s didn’t spontaneously combust. Does that mean that they don’t have batteries?!

I don't know if they have batteries or not. The vans don't look damaged, but they stayed on the trailer. I think it might not be the best idea to haul those vans on that type of trailer with a 5500 Ram, but that truck probably wasn't over weight.

I was just being silly, but I don't believe I embellished any of the facts in my post, and holy shit! Look what was left of those cars in the photo. From what was shown in the video, presumably at the beginning of the incident
