    Haha!

No actually there was a thread about it years ago, I thought it was pleather as well. A member emailed corporate and posted their reply saying that the middle of seats is leather. Also another member turned his seat inside out at the corner and it showed real leather. I’ll try to find that thread.

@Pro-Taco can confirm. He was the one that turned his leather inside out at the corner of his seat and it showed real leather.

As long as my ass is supported in supple luxury, I care not whether my seats derived from flayed food stock or chlorinated petrochemicals. Either way, it's bad. Which is why my seats feel so good.

What a shame I thought my truck had softex, which I thought was durable material that would outlast cockroaches just like it does in Mercedes cars… if it’s Toyota leather … rip… that shit will crease and look like garbage in 5-7 years. And be torn to shreds by year 10. Toyota can’t make leather worth a damn that lasts. Whether you’re in a $40 taco or 100k Lexus … they all age like fresh milk

Toyota does not use raw leathers such as nubuck. They stain and seal leather in our trucks making it pretty durable. If you never clean your seat, yes it will look terrible in 5-7 because soil is abrasive and will ruin the surface. Keep your seats clean and your leather will look great for decades. My seat still looks like new after almost 5 years.

My seats are black so I'm going with Angus leather.

My 2010 Prerunner has vinyl interior upgraded seats, door panel and rear jump seats that have held up perfectly for 13 years. Easy to clean and much more durable than leather.

I've got cloth and it's fine for my needs. I would recommend Katzkin seat covers or finding a custom upholstery shop that does hot rods and such if you want something decent. I'm sure Toyota uses synthetic. My last TRD 4runner was synthetic. Not terrible, but not spectacular either.

Very nice but it also appears they only offer kits for Tacoma front seats.

Not sure I understand, I just looked and was able to start the configurator for both rows of seats:
