My most near death experiences have been in a motor vehicle, mostly because I keep the hammer down and never mind them brakes.

I was 17 and hit 100mph as I crested the hill out Bacon creek rd. Trooper comes over the hill at the same time. He immediately flips his lights on. I'm 3/8 of a mile from a buddies house and a barn I can park behind. The turn got on me a little quick and I slid off the road at 70mph, in between street signs, through the ditch no damage at all and pulled right back onto the road. Parked behind his house and got the hell away from the car.

Found out months later cop was a local guy who thought I was a buddies brother headed out that way to drag race.

Part of why I never bought a motorcycle because I'd have been dead 10x over.

    I’m not saying I don’t like cause I do!
BUT they have a lot of tech shit!
My 08 was so simple to work on.
As long as shit don’t mess up I’m happy but I’m really leaning towards finding a nice 2gen from the south.

Agreed. I’m still a knob ‘n switch guy but don’t mind innovation as long as it’s practical.

Well this has been a *fun* day...

Up at 4:15, drove Mrs Green to work as snow driving upsets her greatly even with a Subaru.

Shovel and snow blow 2 hours downtown, home at 10. Nap until noon and get to work moving concrete with the old Ford.

Back downtown to pick her up then a shopping trip to The Club with pizza special for dinner, under $6 for both of us, back home, groceries away and finally in the chair. :)

    Driveway looking east

    KIMG2765.jpg

The town came by last night with a grader, I pushed the banks back as far as possible, this is about 75 feet long.

    KIMG2768.jpg

Same bank, looking north, even though it doesn't show well everything slopes to the right in the photo and also downhill from where I'm standing.

    KIMG2766.jpg

Same road looking south, slight uphill followed by a downgrade to the "main" dirt road.

    KIMG2767.jpg

    Joys of rural living. :bananadead:

Saw these two little guys down at the end of the road, they didn't seem to worried that I pulled right next to them.
