Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
It always played out to me in my case. I was told if you can`t get yourself unstuck no need to be driving then.

I got used to a crowd watching me work .

Plus if it broke i walked till I earned the money to buy the parts.

Ford Lgt 145, built by Jacobsen around 1974, 14HP Kohler K for power.

I have moved uncounted tons of snow with several of these for about 25 years, it is a nice tractor to drive.

I was pretty sure that was the unit, but I knew others here would not have had a clue.

    Nice!

This was a $500 deal with the chains, blade and a deck too.
It starts easy and the engine is very quiet, doesn't seem to use much oil either.

I quit mowing with my first one (identical) when I would have to top up the oil 1/2 way through the yard. The harder it worked the more it smoked, used gallons of oil over the years but never missed a beat.

Lol. My Case 446 is the same. Drinks oil like a mofo, but that BG Kohler never lets me down.

This gonna be 1st year in some time I won't be blowing snow with it, unless we get snow deep into March.

Staying in state but moving 150-200 miles south gets 2 more weeks of fall, 2 weeks earlier spring and a milder winter.

A problem (for me) is there are a lot more people 200 miles south than around here.

Moving would also be a logistical nightmare between the properties and all my valuable stuff... ;)

I like these old Jacobsen built tractors, they are fairly easy to keep going. The engine is a super common Kohler K series and the Hydo is an Eaton 11, with just a bit of care they never seem to wear out.

The #1 problem most older tractors is the Ross steering box breaking, you can see what it is about in the link below.

I keep looking for a Case 446 HyDrive with the big wheels, a little more ground clearance when plowing snow would be welcome.
