what do i have to look for on used taco?

    ok, so we might be picking up a taco soon and was wondering what i would need to look for? i want a 4 bangger for the mialage and dont really need to go fast or tow. Also this would end up being my first vehical. how is the clutch in a manual trans? is there any parts that go bad often? or places that get rusted out. last how hard is it to get parts and stuff for these things? sorry for all the newb questions but u guys seem to know your stuff

    i want a reg cab but wonuldnt mind if it was bigger. and possibly a 4wd but what ever is on cl or ebay in the area

    J/k j/k man. Really the rust issue was for the 1st gen tacos, but I guess it never hurts to give a once over and check it out. I have an auto so I can't speak on that. These things last a while. I have 90k miles on mine and the only thing I've had to replace is the spark plugs and the oils. As for parts being hard to find, no way. There's tons of sites to order OEM stuff from, like oemparts123.com and toyotapartsbarn.com plus every aftermarket vendor on this site. Good luck with your search.

    thanks. i shouldnt have to worry about damage after what top gear did to their hilux :D so i guess these things are basicly tanks. no major probs with the i4 rite?
