Hello all, I have some Rock Trix wheels 17" coming in this week. They have an offset of -12. I want to put some 255/80r17 tires on it, but I am a bit confused on two areas: Will leaving my (1.25 Spidertrax) wheel spacers on do more harm than good? With the -12 offset, will I need to do any trimming in the wheel well? I have a lil b's bumper in the front, so I assume no further modifications are required. Any insight is much appreciated!

You will need to do a lot of trimming with 1.25” spacers and -12mm offset.

I’m running same size tire but with +4mm offset, no rub even on mudflaps.

So if I took off the spacers, I should be good to go?

without the spacer you'll be fine, -12 will give the tire the same poke as the spacer. I have the 111's and love them no rubbing anywhere with 285's

Pretty sure you will rub on stock mudflaps and probably a bit on the fender.

Only one way to find out!

I run the same size tire on a wheel with a -6 offset. Your -12 offset (without the spacers) would put your tire .25" further out than mine. I do not rub at all, with no CMC. I've got a good caster and removed my mud flaps. I don't think you'd want or need the spacers. My tires have just enough poke to look good and with them not rubbing I couldn't be happier.

Well a bit of an update...got my tires and wheels installed, but i am indeed hitting the cab mount on both sides if I turn my wheel all the way either side. Im thinking about doing a CMC, but I was thinking, would I just be needing a new alignment? I have JBA UCA and I dont know if an alignment to just my front two wheels will be sufficient enough? Any info would be most appreciated!

Do you have the spacers installed?

What are your alignment numbers? With JBA UCAs you should be getting north of 4° and close to 5° of caster.

I did take off the spacers, but here is the alignment I did after getting my new suspension installed about 4 or 5 months ago.

Okay. You MIGHT be able to avoid a CMC if you can get the caster higher. Mine is 4.7/4.8 with the HC JBA UCAs. I say this because I too thought I was going to need a CMC, I even bought the plates for it but decided to try a better alignment one last time and it took care of me 100% zero rub. You don’t have much to loose. If it still rubs it’s the caster 4° + then CMC is likely your best bet.

Okay y'all my quest still continues. I ended up getting the Cab mount relocation done and while that helped, I still get a little rubbing turning either side. It is especially noticeable when turning up into my driveway going up that ramp curb. If im turning (even lightly) with some sort of uneven terrain I rub. I dont know at this point if its my lift not being high enough or if I just need an another alignment.
My thought is maybe I should just get an alignment done by a shop that deals with aftermarket uca's or that can steer me into the right direction. Thoughts?

No expert here, but that aftermarket bumper looks heavy enough to make the front sit low enough to make this rub.

How wide are your wheels? -12 means different things entirely with different width wheels.

Where are you rubbing? The front on the plastic or elsewhere?

Im rubbing by the backside of the wheel well. I trimmed as much plastic and i got a heat gun and pushed back the wheel well liner as far back as I could.
