That's a horrible idea. What time?
Not entirely sure. I was there about something else and asked on the way out the door. If I do them, I have a friend with a garage who will do them for a whole lot less.

In the end Gears and master install kits are under 600 an axle. The labor to pull the front clamshell is the killer if you are just dropping off your truck and having it done.

An hour to drop the diff and cradle, then what, 2-3 for gear install and setup, then an hour to reinstall diff/cradle?

I dont have access to the software currently but the shop software is alot longer than that. If I think about it I will have my buddy pull the sheet for it.
    Overall you have to:
pull the skid/ tires / unbolt the lower ball joint/ pull the CVs/ and Drain the fluid before you get to drop the diff.

.5 on skids and tires, another .5 on cvs. Booya (I'm guessing shops add a bit more, just in case)

No, but on that note, for anyone on the west side, we usually go to Duddles Tree Farm in Reed City

Ended up at Pentecost Tree Farm near Onsted. $50 any tree, you cut or pick from pre cut. Decent selection left. Ended up less than half of what we paid previous years for similar tree.

Modified the level of gas in the tank
Did you slay the tree yourself, or did you get it by proxy?

We slayed it, as you say. We enjoy the “hunting” of the tree, finding a few you like, and then forgetting where they were because you got lost lol. This year was probably the quickest we got it. But a smaller tree farm than normal.

Welcome to TW and the MT club! I'm from the Detroit area but in VA now. Next time I get the truck up there we need to meet up and get them dirty.

Welcome! What part is Michigan are you in? That might help answer your question. For instance, around me in Oakland county there doesn’t seem to be many Tacoma meet & greet type events. At least not that I know of :notsure:

Tacomas aren't as popular in Michigan as in places like Colorado and California. The only Tacoma-type meetup I know of is Toyota takeover day at the Silver Lake Sand Dunes every year.
