This Honda (with Jersey plates of course), blindly made a left turn in front of me and I almost nailed them in the passenger side...

When my truck had a blown head gasket, it was never this bad. Before you say "oh, it was cold out so that's normal", let me tell you that while it was in fact cold out, my truck wasn't doing this. My truck produces white exhaust when first started in the morning, but it goes away relatively quickly. Unless this old GMC had literally just started moments prior to me taking the picture (which I don't think was the case since I seem to remember that it came from the direction of New Hope and not anywhere within Peddler's Village), then there was definitely something wrong under the hood...

I parked went to take a leak in a port-a-potty, and getting out was an absolute shitshow; I took this picture while I was stuck in traffic waiting to get out of the parking lot...

I checked the coolant reservoir in my truck before heading out on my Christmas light quest; I was shocked when I found the reservoir to be almost completely dry. After I got back from my errands, and the truck had been sitting for a few hours, I opened up the radiator cap and found it be normal; I'm assuming the cold weather has something to do with why the coolant level seemed low?

I topped it off to just about the "low" line but well below the "full" line; I accidentally dripped some coolant on areas that get hot, which led to a strong smell of coolant from under the hood when I got home for the night. When I opened up the radiator cap and the reservoir cap, the reservoir was almost totally full.

My truck leaks no coolant, the heater works great, and it hasn't overheated since that Sunday in October; I've also noticed that there seems to be a bit of residual oil in the coolant, which I think is the result of the Toyota dealer not flushing it thoroughly enough.

    What does everybody else think?!?!

Already did, but I don't want it to overflow, pop the cap on the reservoir, and spew coolant everywhere; I don't want my truck to smell like coolant again!

The coolant reservoir is not under pressure.
You can pop the cap on it at any time.

The coolant reservoir is the clear jug outside of the radiator (just to be clear)

Yes I know this; I'm guessing this means that all those times in the summer of 2022 when the cap popped is because it wasn't on securely? My truck had a very small coolant leak in the winter of 2017-2018, and I think the pipe was replaced with a metal one or something. It didn't cause any problems with the truck other than leaving a few drips in the snow at my friend's house in the Pocono Mountains; I bought some coolant at a gas station and topped it off, but it was about 20 below with the wind chill that weekend and I have a feeling it would have taken a while for my truck to overheat!

I don’t know why the cap popped off.
It either wasn’t on securely, or there was a sudden increase of pressure into the reservoir.

That was months before the head gasket was replaced...
