The Tow-pro Liberty can be had at etrailer for $135. No too bad compared to other brands

See previous post. It's behind the left kick panel. You have to unscrew the little plastic nut and pull the panel off. There's a few clips also holding it.
There is a bundle of wires way up to the left. The plug is a bit hidden you may need to feel around to locate it.

I went with the Redarc Liberty and highly recommend it. And yes, the connector is tucked back in there. I had a hard time finding it as well.

This kinda looks like a dead end connector but Im not ready to pry on the thing to pull it out just yet. Ive gone up n down ever wire in there.

Been a while since I did mine, but the plug should be white. Mine was close to firewall towards the bottom near the floor panel. It takes a little bit of digging but you’ll find it.

That's not it. It's a wider connector than that. Mine was literally tucked back in there. Took me a while to find it.

+1 for the redarc. I love mine, clean and simple. The hard part is figuring out how to mount the controller up in there so it doesn't change orientation. I don't really have a tool shop to fab a piece of metal for any mount, but i was able to find some attachment points that would work.

I pulled the lower dash again, ran my hands down all the wires and boxes. Still no plug. Drat. I can see everywhere except behind the white junction box thing and I can see the wires going down the back of that go into a plug in use. Drat again!

Does your truck have the 4- or 6-cylinder engine? I don't think the 4-bangers come with the towing package, which would explain you not finding the brake controller plug.

Man that connector was buried in there. It took multiple days of looking and giving up. I found it behind the kicker panel, way up against the firewall, behind the large black wire harness and the white connector receptacles
