How y'all make gifs from videos

 

I think I can either tell it to film as a gif, or in this case I took a video clip and exported frames, then went to Photos/Utilities/Animation and it makes the selected frames into a gif

 

I can use the Export function on a live photo



Or make one out of a video I recorded.

You'll notice the icon on the top left to initiate making a GIF.



Open a video I recorded and make a short GIF of it (1x, 2x, or 0.5x speed) with forward, reverse, or repeating effect.

Wish my Google 3a was that easy

So I just looked closer and the only way to do it on my Pixel 3a is the second way I mentioned, take a video then manually export frames to your photo gallery, go to utilities/animation and select those frames and run the animation. Automatically saves out as a gif. Kinda tedious but it works

If my 3a does it surely the 6 will? Unless it's a feature hidden somewhere else.
