I kept telling my wife that the money I spent on bikes and skis was way less than on anything with a sail or a motor.

Now she’s looking at me sideways when I spend money on the Tacoma afraid I’m going to do something big!

Found these white silicone rubber bands on a couple usb cables i bought few months back. Been looking at them a while, decided to install on volume/tuner control knobs. OMG!! This is how a knob should come from factory. I was going to say, this is how a knob should feel. But it didn't sound like good English.

Btw, found similar on Amazon, in black, in 10mm x 12mm, x .2inch. Pretty sure same size as these white ones I'm using here.

    I wish I could split ship an order, 200 pcs?? Gads20221218_133724.jpg 20221218_133741.jpg

Got my ARE Classic Shell installed. It took about 9-10 weeks to come in. These are just some quicky shots I did at the installers.

Copy that. I’m in the same situation.

These sure are nice though. Plus they are made by a TW member.

How were they to remove after that long?
I’ve heard they can be a bit of a bear?

Any other tips for Tacomas in the cold? I got a dual battery so hopefully it can start without a heater? Maybe I just leave it running at that point. I have lived in Southern California my whole life, I might die

A bit. Removing the decal wasn’t bad using a heat gun carefully and working slowly to do your best to keep the decal in one piece. As you will find searching here and YouTube, the fun starts with any residue left behind – which, for me, was a lot. Took a combination of rubbing alcohol, goo gone, microfiber towel, my thumbnail, elbow grease and time. Many posts will say easy peasy with this solvent or that eraser wheel, but it all depends on how much residue is left and what you have on hand (or want to buy) to attack it. I didn't want to use acetone.

Damn. That’s lot of residue. I’m one of those that peeled it off no residue. Just standing there on a lunch break, with a friend. I peeled it off and he was asked why? I said the red didn’t match the cement color. I wonder if when you used the heat gun,
If it melted the adhesive away from the sticker part as opposed to the metal being warm?

Hopefully this didn't double post... but I upgraded from my 2014 to this 2019 SR5 yesterday. Happy to have 4 doors, power windows/locks and 4WD finally. Just enjoying the ride for now. It's much more comfortable.

Maybe. I probably should have waited for a warmer day, though I had it in the sun and the metal was pretty warm. I tried simply pulling it off without heat gun and that wasn't happening. Was using heat gun on low, FWIW. Was a little bored and dove in weather notwithstanding.
