Damn. That’s lot of residue. I’m one of those that peeled it off no residue. Just standing there on a lunch break, with a friend. I peeled it off and he was asked why? I said the red didn’t match the cement color. I wonder if when you used the heat gun,
If it melted the adhesive away from the sticker part as opposed to the metal being warm?

 

Hopefully this didn't double post... but I upgraded from my 2014 to this 2019 SR5 yesterday. Happy to have 4 doors, power windows/locks and 4WD finally. Just enjoying the ride for now. It's much more comfortable.

 

Maybe. I probably should have waited for a warmer day, though I had it in the sun and the metal was pretty warm. I tried simply pulling it off without heat gun and that wasn't happening. Was using heat gun on low, FWIW. Was a little bored and dove in weather notwithstanding.

 

Mine was only on there for like a couple of months when I did it as well.

Yes they rub when backing, spc uppers, alignment next week. Installed the Leitner designs bed stiffeners and rack with xl pods.

They’re quite nice. But can be a lot better.

 

New DD ditch lights and fogs. Both are amber back lit. Though I didn't hook up the back lit portion of the fogs since I'm dumb and don't know how to do it. Haha.

Is there a thread called "What WOULD you have done to your 3rd gen today?" Plan was to install a bed mat and a Lomax tonneau cover. The bed mat the dealership sent me was the wrong one. My receipt said Tacoma short bed, but the actual mat is a completely different part number and says Tundra 6.5 on it. The Lomax cover is missing hardware and so I can't finish the install of it either. Hope this isn't a bad omen for my Tacoma! 2 fails and I've only owned it a little more than 24 hours!

For the fogs I tapped into my daylight running lights!!
