What a core workout that was.

just touched tips like the Marine Corps taught me and got Ov between 5&4 at the actuator. Just confirming it would be the 2nd and 3rd prongs closest to the front of the car if that makes sense. Looking at the T4 plug in and it checks out so I figured that was correct. It’s not the furthest one so I went back and did the two next to each other.

You are not check voltages on the actuator pins.
    You are checking for continuity.
Most meters have a setting that looks like the one below.1BE60B58-7E34-470D-AB49-0A1E458594F8.jpg

    Okay really quick.
In your diagram, 4 is GRND.

the 5&4 that I checked are Blue and green wires based off the T4 connector diagram I’m looking at on page 1.

If you mean the ground as Pin 4, I did that incorrectly lol

    We aren’t checking voltage.
    We are checking continuity.
    See post above.

When on this setting, touch the leads together.
Look at your meter, it should change (and or make a beep)

Ok. Let’s do this 1 step at a time.
Set you meter to “Continuity “.
Place one prob on the White/Black wire pin of the CONNECTOR. PIN 4.
Place the other probe on a known good body ground.

See if you meter changes the readings, or beeps.
    Again, meter set to continuity.

Now, do the same test with pins #5 and 4 on the Actuator.
The truck need to be in 2WD.

Before we condemn the actuator being “bad”.
What is the reading on TL1 of the T4 Actuator plug?

    Key on, in 2WD.

TL1 is pin 5 on the actuator plug. NOT THE ACTUATOR ITSELF.

I’m trackin’. Checking actuator T4 plug. Not Actuator itself.
Just confirming checking for voltage now with key on correct?

Well then, this tells us we have all the correct readings TO the actuator.
And we know the ground wire is good (you checked this earlier with doing a continuity check)
Which means the wiring goin out of the actuator is good.

Therefor, it must be inside the actuator where we are loosing circuit integrity.

Now, what we don’t know is?
Is the actuator out of time?
Or is the circuit broken/corroded inside the actuator?

Never seen an actuator go out of time unless some had taken it apart
I have seen the contacts corroded numerous times.

So I checked the hose weeks ago to the TC actuator and didn’t notice anything. That being said, I’d imagine it’s still possible that there’s corrosion somewhere inside.

Never messed with this thing or had to take it apart for any reason.

I guess my next step is removing it and take a look see

Unfortunately, yes. You’ll likely being opening it up.
There’s a small possibility that the motor contacts are broken, and stopped just in the right spot to not make contact. But the chances of that are SLIM.

I don’t fell comfortable telling you to test the motor. Do so at your own risk.
You could use a 9v battery on pins 1 and 2 of the ACTUATOR and see if the motor works, but I’ve never done it. So I can’t really help here.
