How's the frame rust there in Mass?

Always wondered about the term 'original miles'. Is that as opposed to roll back miles? Unoriginal miles? Extra miles? Chassis miles vs engine miles?

What treatment method are you using on the frame to keep it alive there in SaltWorld?

I agree with the 'screw the new truck' sentiment. I made a vehicle payment once. Didn't like it. Even paying cash, I'm not a fan of the value for the price of new

I had to laugh at the mileage. I just rolled over 140,000 miles on my 2014. That 3.4 liter will go forever if you keep up on your maintenance.
Like others have said, just protect your frame and dangly bits.

You could replace your front license plate. It's current condition does nothing for the rest of the truck...

I’ve always liked Kenwood decks, the tilt function is cool- I’ve got an Alpine and it’s difficult to see, the tilt would be really helpful though the low location takes your eyes off the road, not much anyone can do about that

I have the new truck and I agree 100% with you!!

My mistake was not buying a new Tacoma back in 2001.

I agree and suggest the Texas replacement plates, they save you quite a bit of coin in the long run. No state tax, rust free(ish), small business friendly, fastest speed limit having, fill in the blank.

140000 miles? Truck is barely broken in. I wouldn’t get rid of that thing. Vehicle payments suck and nothing beats the 1st gen. Great decision.

    Welcome from Mass.
Does your truck still have the original frame?
I understand how you feel about new trucks. I love my 02 taoma single cab 4x4, but I can't knock the new trucks. I bought my 2019 tacoma TRD Off Road to tow my boat. I traded the 19 for a 22 TRD off Road. There room in my life for both the new and old trucks.
