I often go out geared up to move snow and almost always end up shedding half of it.

I have a windchill of -17 right now. It's supposed to stay about there until we leave on Friday.

You ain't the only one, brother.

I remember skiing in Colorado when temps were 10*. We had the entire mountains to ourselves.

    I. will. Not. Be. Doing. That ever again.

All this cold weather and acclimation talk...

I was born the area I am now, so at one time the cold was no big deal for me. I moved to Mississippi for over 8 years and got used to and liked the heat. Moved back 7 years ago and now I dread every darn winter! I'm pretty much in long sleeves below 75°

I think I'm gonna start a new thread.

How much each month do you get back in cash back bonuses?

What do you spend those perks on?

this is my reason too. credit cards, the bill doesn't come for another month, my spending varies from month to month, but i know i've got the money when i buying something, in a month, i don't know where i'm at. it's gotten me into significant trouble in the past with credit cards. i also hate having to go over purchases a month later, my mind is on new things by then.

I think they were referring to something more akin to Vaseline etc. I have various tubes of lubricants because of pool, electrical, friction, food safe, etc. so I’m sure there’s some pro, but petroleum jelly might be just the thing. Maybe GMs Lubriplate?

This is the wrong thought process.

All the bills that are roughly the same, month to month, go on the card. CC Bill comes, pay it off, keep the rewards to use for odd things.

Sit down and look at your reoccurring bills and write them down. You will see they are very close to the same month to month.

Obviously winter months will show higher heating bills, but you will start to see a pattern. Keep those notes. You will refer to them.

Our electricity bill fluctuates quite a bit...could be 180 one month and 500 the next. Our electric co buys fuel so that has a great effect and we do acct for it..we really just expect it to be 500 so its nice when its anything less lol

Electricity and cricket hotspot are really our only reoccurring bills. We buy fuel oil for the boiler once a year...i do buy fuel oil for the toyo every month(about 15gls) so that is reoccurring. Ins is twice a year. I or my cousin supply firewood. We grocery shop big every 2 mons or so(i gotta go for a 2 pack of milk every 2 weeks)..we try to not incur monthly charges due to sporadic income..not that we cant cover it.

    Goodnight everyone.

Poll: cash for eating out and small purchases. Credit for groceries, home improvement stores and hotels when traveling. Prepaid visa from my CU for gas while traveling.

We have our natural gas and electric bill on the equal payment plan. Our gas bill would be $400+ in the winter months and $19 in the summer months. Equal payment plan it’s around $82 a month. Electric is about the same but it was reversed with the air conditioner in the summer.

Yeah, I started my refugee resettlement here in the eighties. To apply for a credit card when one trying to start his life from a clean slate, I for one, was not qualified; until I got a decent job, and agreed to pay higher interest rate for the charges from the card.
Perhaps, the situation only apply to my case.
