Had the kiddos shooting the Mark IV over the weekend. After about 200 rounds it stopped firing. Tried about 10 different rounds and none would fire. Hoping it just needs cleaned.

The Mark III hunter I used to have was definitely picky about being clean. Certain ammo would only get me about 50 rounds before it started hanging up.

That stupid loaded chamber indicator was a known issue. Buy a spacer kit and be done with it.

My MKIII would do that occasionally.
But more like after 300 rounds.
    Deleted the LCI, GTG.

My MKIV hasn’t had any issues yet.

My Mark IV Loaded Chamber Indicator was a victim to a Remington Yellow Jacket round. Was told by Ruger not to run those rounds as that was a common issue. Mine loves CCI and chews through them without issues. Though I usually keep a 22 cal bore snake handy and run a quick swab every 50-100 rounds.

Mine has eaten 600+ rounds of Federal AutoMatch (Bulk)
    CCi MiniMag
    CCi Standards velocity

Those are the ones I know I have shot.
I couldn’t tell you the others, most of those were odd boxes of left overs.
I can’t remember any issues with my MKIV. But I’m sure if I shoot it enough I’ll run across something that it doesn’t like.

I’ve got WAAYYY more time on my MKII
Like 7k-8k rounds. Maybe more through it. And I acquired it use.

Nice! Mine likes Auto Match as well and Federal Bulk Box. The accuracy of the mini mags is crazy though. Love this gun!

I recently bought my 1st firearm; Chiappa Little Badger .22lr single shot skeleton rifle. Loved it so much I am now awaiting DOJ clearance on my new Browning Buckmark Practical URX. I’m going to do the Tandemkross & Tactical Solutions upgrades. Sadly, I’m limited to my options because I live in blue ass California. But, I make the best of it. You all have some beautiful pistols btw!

That's a nice one! Which upgrades exactly are you looking to do? I highly recommend the Tandemkross gearbox. Definitely a worthwhile spend. I'm on the fence about their trigger, it's definitely better than stock but I think I'll be redesigning and making my own. Something in between stock and the Tandemkross.

There is nothing that is limiting about a Calif. Buckmark, only your wallet. Have at it!

I have that same MKII and the matching one in stainless. They will run forever. I kind of butchered my blued version and put a rail on the lower side of the barrel, just in front of the receiver to mount a light/laser combination. We had such a skunk problem when we lived in Illinois that I was constantly shooting them at night, in our yard. A laser is the only way to go with that. Now that we live in Indiana, and we don't have dogs anymore, I can take it back off. They are great guns and hopefully, my kids will be fighting over mine when I die. I also have a nice little Smith and Wesson Model 17, K22 Masterpiece revolver, that I bought in 1981. I haven't shot it in years but it is an absolute tack driver for a .22 pistol.

I’d like to own a k22 or 17 some day.
I’m a Ruger fan, but I just don’t like the feel of the SP101
    And I haven’t seen a GP100 in 22lr in person, but I’m going to guess it’s heavy.

While this particular one isn’t mine. (Grandfathers)
    It does shoot nice.

It all started with the MKII series for me.

My family has been a Ruger fan. I have to admit.
Colt and Smith have them beat on fit and finish.
But the Rugers are tanks. They just keep going……..
