    Sounds good.

I wouldn’t worry about it unless you continue to see coolant being used.
Basically, what I am getting at is, I think you will be fine until after Christmas until your mechanic can look at it.

We might also look at it from the mechanics point of view.

    Coolant reported low in reservoir.
    Customer (you) refilled reservoir.

    Mechanic - check for leaks.
If none are found, drive it.
    Confirm the truck runs normal.
Then advised you (customer) to bring it back if coolant continues to be lost.

I suppose they could do a coolant system pressure test.
But I don’t think they will unless coolant continues to be lost?

Why am I telling you this?
Because I know how much you cherish this truck.
And I don’t want to see you get too upset if the dealer/mechanic says there isn’t anything they can do at this time. Sometimes you just have to wait, and see how things progress:thumbsup:

2021. Tax/tags/etc at purchase was pricey. I knew it going into the purchase, but it still hurt.

I was totally expecting you to say 2017 or older. 650 still sucks ass, but you would have been paying 897.00 to register your truck in CO from the online calculator. I put in high 39k for purchase price. Around here used 2021 Tacoma trucks are going for more than that.

Yeah, I was expecting around $750 for the renewal. Happily surprised it wasn’t that bad.

$900 is just stupid for a year.

Colorado is gorgeous, but I don’t think I could ever live there. This cements it lol

Colorado is stupid expensive. Can’t wait to bail.

My Corvette plates were over 3000.00

Just the plates were $3k? That’s not including taxes?

So you’re paying ~$3k (depreciating) a year for that thing?

The plates drop every year, the 4th year being the biggest drop.

I was looking at a CTS-V, but won’t be purchasing something like that in CO since it has a gas guzzling tax on top of the ridiculous plate cost.

Funny, so many people are moving here and then shit themselves on the cost.

I mean with those costs, it is cheaper to live in CA. That’s crazy.

Besides housing, I would agree. When I left CA my insurance was 97.00 per month for a sports car. Colorado it was 300.00. I found it for 150.00 after some creative searching. That was the only reason I stayed.

I think of the housing costs as a nice weather tax.

I pay more state income tax to MD than I did to CA.

Pay me now or pay me later.

So, if I moved to Colorado, it looks like I would have to lie about when my truck was purchased. My dad bought the truck new in September 2009 and transferred the title to me in December 2016. Because it was an in-family title transfer and my dad literally told the notary public that he was gifting the truck to me, I kept the plate and my truck's Carfax still shows it as being a 1-owner vehicle. I have since gotten a new plate because I wanted the railroad heritage plate, but that was a one-time fee and my registration remains the same.

Based on the true purchase date, MSRP, and actual purchase price of the truck in September 2009, I would have over $1,100 due! I don't know where they got that figure from since my truck is older and smaller than yours, and obviously not worth as much. Plus, mine is gas, so you'd think the treehuggers there wouldn't punish me as much.

Your truck is so old that it might be 110 a year. My 2007 Lexus was 58.00 this year.

Do you have an option of doing a 1-year registration or a 2-year; I always opt for the 2-year so I don't have to worry about it.

I still get it in the mail; Pennsylvania want stickerless in 2018, so I still see vehicles driving around with 2017 stickers on their plates. I got a new plate in 2021, so I have no stickers...

    @ColoradoTJ

I think that standard issue Colorado plates are cooler than standard issue Pennsylvania plates; I have the plate shown in the bottom picture...
