Caution-a bit of a winey rant:

Got my UCA's put back together, except... for the metal roll bushing thing (?) that goes into the urethane bushings. I took them out after I realized I didn't get any new ones with my $550 parts order from Total Chaos. Mine are a nasty rusty mess. In TC's defense, they only offer new ones with the new UCA's, not the replacement kit-which doesn't make sense to me, but my bad for not catching it when I did my original parts order. Sent them a text a solid week before they were leaving for winter break and they blew me off... Now they are gone for several weeks. Not how I roll, but not my business. I guess I will just lube those Sh@%$$^ things up and press them into my nice new stuff since I have time next week to get all the suspension work done. Bums me out a bit, especially since I am upside down in these stupid things-could have bought new ones for less than my rebuilt ones. Live and learn...

Already wire wheeled them-got the scale off but a couple are pretty pitted. I will soak in PickleX which leaves a barrier and then lube it up.

Dang wish I knew about that stuff. I got TC LCAs used so I basically had to the same thing as you, new bushings, hardware, uniballs, and powdercoat. The price of the hardware alone was insane. But I can't complain since I still saved around $700+ versus buying the new ones

Uniballs apparently don't need to be. Bushings definitely need to be greased at least every oil change or sooner after some wheeling

    Yep.

My box with washer (they were missing), bushings, Uniballs and bolts was over $500. Powder coating was a steal at $80. Paid $350 for them. Can buy them new for $880. Lesson relearned... just buy new.

For UCAs I'd definitely buy new. I got my LCAs for 1k plus my factory lowers

    I like it!

-20° days are in the future. Not going to be washing the 4Runner or Tacoma much in the next several months.

    Style is making a comeback!

Okay Taco family... If you have a shock set up with a remote reservoir in the rear; where did you mount it? I have the Dobisons-have yet to take them out of the box-but getting ready to install them next week. What is the consensus on placement? Thanks in advance.
