Looking to get one. Anyone has one installed in their truck? Any pros or cons? Can it replace the OEM remote so that I don't have to carry both? BestBuy has it on sale for $299.99 (install included).

    Oh look, another mod....

You know, a link to the thing you want to buy/install would be helpful to those of us who don't know what this is (since you wanted opinions on it).

Which model are you looking at? There are multiple remotes, some with unlock/lock functions, some without (just one button for remote start and unlock). I have had similar units (meaning third party units) installed in previous vehicles and i always carried 2 remotes because i have had issues if the after market remote just starts to act stupid. I was advised not to use OEM remote unless i absolutely needed to which became the case later.

I don't think he has a remote start, but he is looking to get a remote start but try to stick with just 1 remote.

No experience with the one you’re looking at however I have the N2 remote start for my 22OR 6MT. The only thing I would change is getting the cell phone module from the start.
It has been a great product with easy installation.

I think it's for 2020+ and it is also a subscription service. I may be wrong.
