Speaking of I need to buy a better trailer mine is a disaster hahaha

 

I think it could be really fun in something with space constraints like that. I still keep my eyes out for a semi-clean Triumph TR6 to put a K series in. That would have been an excellent car if it weren't for the British engine and wiring.

 

My mom also had a TDI she keeps trying to foist on me... Now that would be interesting in a yata

 

If I could guarantee the Sentra CVT wasn't going to explode in the next 15k mi I'd probably trade her straight up for the TDI but I'd hear nothing but bitching about the lack of power and creaks/squeaks the car makes.

Averaged out over the last few years I think she put what amounts to like $300/mo into in the TDI. I keep trying to tell her getting a payment with power train warranty on something new is a better investment even if it means "being in debt again". She's test driven everything under the sun but nothing is right. It's always something about cupholders being wrong, cluster back lighting being wrong, not enough power, too much power, ugly emblems, window size blah blah

 

This is why I won't hang with other Land Cruiser people

 

BRB spending the rest of my life vacuum sealing every spare part and piece of hardware. Should I do my trail tools too so they don't get dusty in the toolbox?

They shear off on the 80 series, but if you replace em once they never do again, it was a heat treating problem... I dunno why he'd have new ones, just replace em

 

Gotcha, I didn't realize that was a problem for the 80 lol. On any other platform you'd either shear the studs or blow apart the rest of the front axle before the flanges said goodbye

 

It's because they're AWD and the constant force and sometimes reverse just eats em away until one day you're climbing a hill and lose acceleration and have to lock the t-case cause most of your power is going to the one hub that's just freewheeling now
