It doesn’t seem like it’s losing too much. I generally drive less than 20 miles a day during the week though. On weekend trips the mi/kw is lower until the truck warms up and then goes back to the normal 2ish range after that.

This is why I am looking forward to Solid State batteries. Cold temps will have no effect on range.

Some of that at least is the energy to heat the cabin initially not just the battery. That won’t change regardless of battery tech. I’m not one the EV hypermiling guys, I’m totally ok with reduced efficiency in order to be warm and comfortable.

Really? Didn’t realize that about solid state batteries.

That and 0-80% charge in under 20 min. Different SS battery Mfgs. out there and from what i read, cold temps are not a factor like they are in Li battery chemistries.

I think it makes a ton of sense as a light work truck for the rest of the world. Regular cab, 7-foot bed, and plenty of room to tie things down or have your buddies use as grab handles. 90% of the trucks I saw in Guatemala had the same kind of rail.

As far as looks... change the shape of the wheel wells a bit, paint the rail and headache rack black, and extend the rear lights down to the bumper, and it would look perfectly fine.

I noticed the sale prices of R1Ts on cars and bids have come down a lot. They’re averaging $85K now. Cheaper than you could buy a new one without preorder pricing.

So … normal … ? :rofl:Who wants an early build anyways when quality is supposed to be going up when they learn from their fuck ups.
Also EV manufacturers are starting to run out of people willing to spend $100k on Evs …

That looked good. Seems like the barrier was going through the truck like butter until it hit the battery pack and gave off a second jolt. Haha.
Imagine ramming a 3000lb Honda with a 7500 behemoth like that …. Rip Honda driver and passenger
