That’s everything lately. The ‘21 TRX base price was $70k, the ‘23 is now $84k. The exact same configuration I bought nine months ago is $7k more than I paid.

He also implied the Cyber Truck is ugly, and everyone will be driving one.

People will pay, they pay for ten of thousands in dealer markups.

It’s not 2021 or mid 2022 anymore. Automotive landscape is changing rapidly. Even tesla is now offering 4K off and 10k “free” supercharging miles.

I want to see a dealer advertise a 4th gen Pro for the asking price of $200k

I'm stll seeing a good number of dealerships asking $5k on Pros and $1k on regular Toyotas.

Are people still paying these prices?

I originally considered a Rivian before buying a Tacoma but the price was an absolute not starter for me. The base price is $100,000 CDN, plus 12% tax, and no rebates.

I couldn't even pretend to justify that.

What kind of public charging network do you have up there? Most people probably charge at home, and I'd think Teslas are about as common there as they are in any northern US state.

Didn't say it was 2021 or mid 2022, but markups will always happen on a vehicle in demand. like a Tacoma, 4runner, Tundra, and people will pay the markups.

So only the people that paid the post March 1, 2022 pricing should get these improvements? I’m pretty sure your pricing isn’t locked in and they can do whatever they want in regards to price increases going forward. Only those with a pre March 1, 2022 preorder have pricing that is locked in, even on accessories that need to be added in the Gear Store now (and not part of your preorder).

Teslas are fairly common. There are a number of them at my wife's work parking lot.

Charging network is pretty decent. Keep in mind we really only have one "interstate" that goes across the country and most of the population is concentrated near it. We have a 4Runner too so any EV would be a commuter most of the time but a road trip across the country would be fairly manageable.

We also wired the garage for charging when we built our house.

I’m just stating that it would be nice to get something for the extra 20k…

You can thank inflation for some of that. A $75k R1T reservation in Jan 2020 is now being sold at $11k discount.

So 3 months on and no replacements. Wonder if they are gone for good.

You never told us where these were. They could have been replaced with other chargers close by but can’t confirm that unless you tell us which ones you are talking about.

According to the map these were "Tesla Destination Chargers." Theres a McDonalds down the road with a "ChargePoint." A few miles away there is a Sema Charging spot but nothing convenient.

Destination chargers aren’t convenient unless there is something like a hotel, or at least a restaurant, next to them where you can spend some time.
