If I ever win the lotto (never gonna happen cuz I don't play) I'd probably go spend a month in Japan. I dig sushi, love Godzilla, and enjoy some anime. Plus, there's a village where you can go live like a samurai for a week. I'd be a fat Samurai, but I'd be a Samurai!

I don't live in a city/crazy state. It's no better out here. Same entitled, wanna be a man, demand cookie cutter pretty boy, and 6 figure salary expectations here as anywhere else. Location isn't the problem. If you find one who isn't insane and skipped the hoe phase, good on you, but they aren't more common outside the cities than in.

It's not super expensive to move over. Why wait if you think you'd be happier there? Biggest obstacle would be showing that you can be a contributing member of society, but if you have any kind of marketable skill you could make a go of it.

Ah, that makes sense. Still, if you saved now, in a few years you could have a decent chunk of change to set up with. Think about how much we pay for a vehicle on a 5 year loan. If you put the same money aside for 5 years as you pay for a truck, it's a good bit of money. Easier said than done. At least, I've not been able to manage it. lol

you have a point but the main thing id like to bring with me to japan would be my truck and bike and mayybe my civic coupe since they didnt get the coupe so it would be kinda rare so id need money to import them and also figure out if my dog breed would be allowed

funny you mention a loan haha currently paying off my 22 ranger got awhile before that one is done lol

Well, you've got a goal to work toward, at least. More than many these days.

You know what the hardest step of making a change is?

No need to bring your truck over there. You could pick one of these up for cheap. Hopefully you have a small dog. If not it might be a tight fit with him and your bride.

    Prioritize the goals.

The hardest step is always the next step. Buddy of mind said that to me, and it always stuck. It sucks, because it's basically just saying that you are going to have to work harder every day if you want anything to work out. There is no free lunch, there is no easy path.

If somebody offered you a GFC for your civic, would you take it?

I thought that might be the case, but it was just an exercise in prioritization. Sounds like you need to sell the car and put the money toward something else to me.

You can put $10K into making the civic a beast, or $10K into decking the truck out for camping, and it sounds like you have a heavy preference.
