just a couple of things tbh
you have a point id have to spend a lot to k swap it its roughly 5k just to put it into the car... other option is a turbo d series but even then you have to find a d15b over my d16... so its a lot.. ive just always loved this gen so atm i still hold onto it...

im selling my m100 camping trailer and my atv i dont use and then start to save up for the gfc but also got some stuff to do for my bike as well haha but yes my main goal is to go camping as much as possible and go see as much as i can and take either my pup or the bike with me and just get out and explore! i really do hate staying at home even thou i love playing video games i much rather be out exploring

If only I had the time and the space, I want to own an old turbo honda or yamaha someday. Weird part of motorcycling history and I want to feel that turbo surge after the ten seconds or whatever it was of lag

I was at a vintage Japanese motorcycle show in August or September and some guy showed up with an enclosed trailer and proceeded to unload all 5 of the factory built turbo bikes form the 1980's. Honda CX500 and CX650 turbos, Yamaha 650 Seca turbo, Suzuki VN85 turbo and Kawasaki GPZ750 turbo. All 5 were showroom new condition restorations. The GPZ750 turbo only had 41 original miles on it. That is NOT a typo, 41 miles!I got a chance to speak with the owner for a bit, really interesting guy. Said he was in the early part of his adult life when those bikes all came out and while he lusted after them he couldn't have afforded them at that point in his life. He never told me what he did and I never asked but he admitted he'd done "very well" in life and starting about 10 years ago decided he could finally afford one of them and decided he wanted to collect the whole set that he could not have afforded as a younger man. Collection was a result of 8-10 years of searching, buying the lowest mileage cleanest example he could find then doing a complete teardown and restoration of a single bike then beginning to search for the next one. His CX650 turbo had been bought off bringatrailer.com and had still been new in crate when he bought it.

Waiting on the call back from the dealership. Winter time and a snow storm coming, best time to buy a new bike.

Eh hold out for a 650. Or throw him an offer for $3k and see if he bites. Never hurts unless he says yes

Lol I am as well, just turned 29 the saturday after September. Yeah girls can be the worst flakes and they are fickle af. One misstep and who knows how they'll respond lol.

I feel you man. I was just venting to my roommate how frustrating it is trying to plan things with anyone because things never seem to line up. The worst thing is, my ex was that girl who loved going on spontaneous trips, camping, actually pushed me to get out even more often. Unfortunately there were bigger issues, such as her being about 2.5 years older and wanting kids in the 6 months or so, which neither of us were in any way ready for (and which I'm not even sure I want ever, let alone that soon).

Since dating after her, I've p much reached the conclusion that she was a unicorn in that aspect, as I have yet to meet a girl who actually camps regularly, vs has been once and "loves it"

That's wild! That'd be a dream, though. The CX's with all the gold trim speak to me.

Man, I'd bite if you were closer but I'm done traveling more than 50 miles or so to look at bikes. Be patient, it'll happen!
