:rofl:Yeah we found a lot more damage and told the customer he was getting a new PTO if he wanted his truck to be useable.

Speaking of useable trucks, how's your Chevy doin? :boink:

Dropping off Weds so they can figure out wtf is wrong with it still. Loss of rpm, falls out of gear, shakes the entire truck like im driving over a rumble strip intermittently, and goes up hills only when it feels like it. Husband rode with me the other day and was like “the fuck was that?” “..its a chevy”

I had that sticker on my first Tacoma. Just Chevy things, us Toyota folks wouldn't understand.

My co worker has absolutley beautiful SILVERADO LTZ, 2019 I believe. By that I mean it’s a sharp looking truck kept in absolutely immaculate condition by its proud owner. Started having trouble a a week ago that sounds similar to what you’re describing @FlyingWolfe.

Turns out the DOD system has failed. Displacement on demand that drops cylinders 7/8 when deemed unnecessary, then kicks them back in when you give ‘er some.

my other co worker, in a 22 Tundra, and myself in my Tacoma, have been carting him around and giving him endless shit. Nice guy. His Dads tenure as a GM truck builder extends back to the 50’s ( guy is in his 70’s) and he’s in agony having to accept that the engineering just isn’t what it outta be. He’s being a good sport and we’re lightening up a bit.

hope you get it resolved wolfe. At least it’s not your dime.

Sounds like the same platform probably. The turdburger strikes again.
It feels like a trans problem coupled with a firing issue. Who tf knows at this point, they touched both (plugs, injectors, wires, transmission).
Nothing like working in the boonies three hours from home wondering if your truck is going to get you back or not.

    Morning.
    Late start.
Lots of stuff going on this week.
Lots of flies in the ointment.
Thought retirement would be, you know, retirement.
Oh well, better than a dirt nap.

It's new. We saw it on the Tundras site too. @T-Rex266 was going to ask if it was a feature or a bug, but haven't heard anything back yet. He might still be jet lagged from hanging with @toyomafia in Florida.

So what I'm hearing is retirement is like being an adult. Advertised as great. Freedom, income, and the ability to do what you want, but winds up being nothing but work, and some of the work you don't even get paid for?

All the work you don’t get paid for. In fact you have to pay out.
Someone always wants you for a favor.
I have to do something in the middle of the day so it ruins the whole day.
I’ll get my gym time in but that’s it..
