We haven't sold it but have someone who's trying to buy it. It's not like selling a house when there is a store involved.

+1 for the 100 rounds of .22. Practice and familiarity are key.

+1 for breathing control, full breath in, half out, like @Hunterdc1 said eliminates that body movement. Especially helpful when things get further away.

What helps me personally is, I focus on squeezing the trigger with the tip of my finger, I don't wrap my finger around it at all. It does give you better feel for the trigger, and is proper technique, but it I purposefully use it as a point to focus on.

I have a mental checklist that I go through when shooting at the bench that with practice hopefully becomes second nature in the field.

It has something to do with our brains inability to accurately remember details. So our brain sees a situation similar to something saved from the past and then triggers that 'ive been here/done this' feeling.
Or it's a higher power saying, think first, act second. :D Which is usually how I interpret it.

I used to pass out if I stood up too quickly and blood grosses me out too. I'm also on board with the needles wig me out except tattoos.

Though I will say, if it's life or death situation, I'll make sure anyone involved is safe and secure before I start getting the shock.
My friend cut the arteries in both palms when he fell into a busted tv and I made sure he was double tourniquetted and enroute to the hospital before I had to look away at the horizon line till we got to the hospital.

My wife cut her thumb open with a kitchen knife and I wrapped her up tight, drove her to the hospital at 80mph 20 minutes on icey highway and got her in the ER room before I couldn't do it anymore. That was a spooky one, she lost enough blood she went into a seizure as soon as they got her in the room. I'm just staring shaken by this and it felt like it was in slow-mo. The Drs were looking at here and getting vitals and making sure she didn't hop out of the wheelchair and my brains going 100 miles a minute switching between 'why aren't they helping her' to 'were in the best place for this to happen, they can help her'.

I absolutely can't look when I get stuck with a needle, and I ABSOLUTELY HATE when they stick a needle in say "ope not getting anything" then saw the needle inside my arm till they get a blood draw.

My left ear is bad from all the miles with no AC and the window open.

I always have ear plugs within reach.

Most anything I do the ear plugs are in use I want to keep what hearing I have.

Our wonderful dog is worse than the cats. If you are sitting on the floor wrapping it must be because you want to play. Here, let me help by putting my ball in the middle of your wrapping paper and then pouncing on it when you don't immediately throw it!

    New Poll Question:

Do you wrap your own presents?

    1. Hell no, that is why I have a significant other!
    2. Yes. Who else is going to do it?
    3. No, I find a wrapping station at the Mall
    4. Absolutely! "It's the most WONDERFUL time of the year!"
    5. Amazon does my wrapping or the Amazon box counts as wrapping!

Wrapping story, my aunt lives at the beach and she's always sent us gifts. One year we got one and there was something between the paper and the box and it would slide around if you moved it. We waited patiently for a week or so waiting to open it to see what it was..........

    It was her scissors

Nice! I answered the significant other, but reality is that she has OCD and cannot stand to have presents unwrapped so for everyone except my gifts to her they are already done. With a new house and a basement that is 27.5 x 66 we now have the room to set up a dedicated wrapping table/area so no more setting it up, then taking it down, etc. :bananadance:

My wife usually wraps all of them, the kids will help sometimes. My daughter did wrap one for her friends birthday party a couple weeks ago. Instead of folding one piece she taped a bunch of small pieces to cover it

The kids and I did wrap 3 the other night that my wife bought herself from us :anonymous:

I somewhat enjoy wrapping presents. My wife hates it so it all works out. When I worked at the machine shop we sent lots of parts out to get anodized, so everything was wrapped in paper. I was the youngest guy there and the only one with hands that still worked right so I was the one to always wrap.
