I spent the better half of Sunday sandbagging my garage in preparation. Still flooded just a little. Got the dehumidifier going strong

I’ve never really watched him, his antics are fun but I’m rarely in the mood for them.

That one has been popping up for a bit now, I might eventually cave.

Anyone bought a timing light recently?

I don't think I kept the old craftsman one my gpa had :homer: lots of cheaper digital options out there.

I'm hoping I can fuck with the timing on the crawler and get more than 40mph out of it. Seems a little weak for a 4cyl on the top end. Does fine crawling but I can't keep up on the dirt roads. the vacuum advance is not hooked up which is probably a factor

Oof. Times are tough, but I feel like there is a point somewhere where it’s just better to not do a bonus at all rather than be so disappointing.

Something that says "we don't think about you at all" rather than "we thought about you on accident and hated it"?

Haha. Gf is drowning in swag from her job, I have a bunch of conference shirts from mine that are useless for anything but standing in a convention hall, never mind wearing in the field.

I work for a school district, if we have swag I don't know about it and I'm okay with that

You don't love your job so much you want to wear the company logo everywhere???

That was actually one of my items on the employee feedback survey. Give us fewer items and if you give me an item make it something durable like a nice mug. I don't need any more fanny packs or ledUSBbottleopenerKeychainWhistles

I dunno, got a pretty sweet stadium seat pad from the Richland, WA Bombers - it has a mushroom cloud on it.

They send us catalogs in the email but I never order. If they gave me a hat I’d wear it on work trips, but the cheapo return to office water bottle has long since been recycled.

A nice insulated metal mug would be amazing. The railroad I worked for gave me a flash drive in the shape of a locomotive, that’s a keeper too.

Is the stuff they give you the same stuff they have in the booth at conferences?

Kinda clever, but I would have used that name for the school in Hanford, WA... you know since they have a ton of the nuclear waste from the Manhattan Project.

Isn’t that school no longer? Pretty sure all the Hanford site people lived in Richland back in the day since Hanford got eaten by the project.

And yeah… what a mess. B reactor is a cool tour, but they’re very quiet about the waste tanks.
