Haha I was trying to decide between the MacRide and Shotgun Pro, basically flipped a coin to decide. Darn.

#2 is en route with an early June ETA!

Last year, I was on flats and using FiveTen freerides. The canvas top kept my feet fairly cold. This year, I started with my FiveTen Hellcats, figuring they'd be OK because they're a leather or vinyl upper and not as ventilated. I found my feet are even colder, which I'm starting to think is due to being clipped in (feet aren't moving as much). I bought some dedicated winter riding boots this year for flat pedals, FiveTen Trailcross GTX. They're mainly for the fat bike, but if they keep my feet warm in the cold weather, I'll throw flats on my full squish and use them for all my cold weather rides. I was messing with different socks and wasn't able to find one thin enough for riding and also warm. I haven't broken out the Trailcross boots yet, hopefully this weekend they'll get their maiden voyage.

Got a pair of Gore Tex Northwaves several years ago while living in the Midwest and they were way more necessary than they are in N GA. Worth every penny and have held up well with their seasonal use.

I've read that many people switch to flats for winter riding. I'd like to keep the clipless option available, but I do have some 5.10's I could switch out to for sure.
I'm mainly thinking of clipless options. I've saw Northwave has some good shoes about 50% off, and you can get shimano winter shoes about 20-25% off.

Do the shoes breath well enough you may also wear them for wet rides just to keep the socks from being soaked in warmer times?

Heard "USB pump" and clicked the link. Was disappointed it wasn't an onboard air compressor powered off the USB slot on an E-bike. #OverlandAF

Another guy with that Topeak here. I’m not sure I’ve ever used it other than testing it when new. But I always carry it and it’s small and light. I also carry a few CO2’s and inflator. Our Topeak Joe Blow floor pump is pushing 20-25 years of regular use and pumps as well as it ever has.

They do breathe well considering what they are. That said I generally wear wool socks and won’t even consider them until about 40 deg or lower.

oneup as well. agreed. i have the lezyne ones and they grab cores. oneup is great because it even has a co2 inflator built into the same pump head.

Another Oneup here. If you can fit the 100, get it. It can fit the CO2 in the pump, along with the tool. Such a great option.

I have a Fumpa. It's awesome. I wouldn't use it as my day to day on-bike pump though.

I do use it in the garage quite often but mainly use it for travelling. I used to bring a "mini" floor pump but the Fumpa is much easier to bring along.

Saw that CO option with the One Up, that's neat!
Unfortunately, I don't think the 100 fits. It appears to be the same dimensions, if not a little bigger, than my current Lezyne and I know that doesn't fit. I ended up ordering the 70 with the small EDC and tire plug kit. One stop shopping

I torch the rotors also. You gotta keep the flame moving though or both rotor and pad backing will warp.

very nice option. they pump quite a lot of volume in the tiny little pump so it's really nice to have. I thin kthe smalelr one still has space for bacon strips and other stuff so you shoudl be good! I have the 100 and i keep a co2 cartridge in it along with extra tools. I carry a lot now that I think of it because i have a separate multitool in my hip pocket. lolol.

I ride with the Sidi Frost once it starts getting wet/cold. They make a big difference, but they still aren't what I'd call warm. Booties are warmer but hard to hike in, these are drier and a little easier because you can just throw them on and go. Doesn't hurt that I found them for 1/2 off either.
