So I have finally narrowed my search of lift kits down to the two following kits that are offered by Toytec. Please keep in my this is all very new to me so any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have a 2011 DC long bed TRD sport.

The two lifts I am look at are:
    • OME Suspension lift kit
    • Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks

I don't do any off roading. This is mainly for looks.

If you are not going off road, I don't see the point of spending double the money on the OME lift.

There is only a $50 difference between the two kits that are offered on Toytec.

Your OP did not mention that you are looking at the Bilstein 5100 kit that includes Eibach coils and new rear shocks. All it says is bilstein 5100 adjustable shocks.

You can get the front 5100's from Down South Motorsports for $180, and a rear AAL for around $70. That would be $250 vs the $700 OME kit.

So all I would need to do is put 5100's on the front and then AAL in the back. Would I need to also put 5100s in the back. Would I have to put coilover springs on the front as well. Sorry for so many questions, I just have never done this and I want to do it right.

Just go with OME kit, their fine. I had OME on my wife's 4runner and have a custom OME (leaf spring setup) on my jeep. Their products are great, their shocks are better than any OEM stuff out there.

Considering the stock TRD touts Bilsteins and they reallly suck, I lean towards OME all the way around. But that just me. Hope this helps.

You can use your stock coils with the 5100's. that's what they were designed for. you do not need 5100's for the rear, but it does improve the ride for only $100 more.

So a good recommendation would be 5100's in the front using my stock coil springs and AAl's in the back. Also adding 5100's in the back for better a better ride. What would you set everything at?

You could do 1.75" front and 1.5 back for a little rake, or if you want to be nearly level you could do 1.75" front, toyota tsb springs rear, or 2.5" front, 1.5" rear.

Depends on how much the AAL lifts rear and how much rake you want. Level? Rear high? Front high? If you go 2.5 up front then you'll be needing UCAs to get caster correct so it doesn't wander and steer all twitchy on uneven surfaces and follow grooves in the road and get blown around in wind.

I am not looking to do more than a 3" lift. I want the truck to be level. I really wasn't look to spend the extra money for the UCA's so if I stayed below that level that would be good. What would I need to set everything at to stay below getting new UCAs.

My prerunner at 2.5 needed the UCAs for caster to be right. I did 2.5 up front and 1.5 AAL out back with 3 leaf pack and ended up with 1.25" higher in back. 5100s all around.
