    @0xDEADBEEF Zwift hack for you.

    Create your new account through their web site. After filling in the regular signup stuff, it'll ask you for billing info. Observe at this point that you're no longer in a "registration" flow--you're in a Shopify checkout flow. Close your browser tab. Your account is ready to go.

    When you sign in to the app, you'll be on a 14-day trial. Ride to your heart's content.

    After 14 days, you'll revert to the "25km" plan. Under this plan, you can ride up to 25km/month. The limit is only checked when starting a new ride, so you can actually ride more than 25km--you just can't start a new ride once you've crossed the threshold.

    You can also get onto the 25km by cancelling your subscription, this way just saves you the credit card entry.

    Obviously, this is only useful if you're an infrequent rider. It's been enough for me with all the traveling I've been doing lately.

    Last day of work for me before the holiday, 1 full week off (only get Monday off technically but I've saved up some PTO this year).

    6 hour drive tomorrow, not looking so forward to that

    Well, looks like I drew the short straw this year. Going down to Boise in Feb for a Educational Tech conference. At least it's all expenses paid, except for a damn vehicle.

    I can't even get a name tag for my desk, let alone a notebook haha I pay for those myself.

    I'm 6 months away from starting to accrue 3w a year. Could be worse. First job was garbage and had a "no pto for first year of employment " bullshit. Last job was two weeks for pto and sick time combined.

    Reimbursement is annoying with public entities cause they refuse to pay tax, so I just end up eating a lot of small charges

    @0xDEADBEEF Snow is in the forecast for Thursday afternoon and evening. I'm thinking about taking off Thursday afternoon and Friday and heading up to the Buffalo area. It would be cool to make some waterfall pictures in the snow.

    Oh that’ll be fun. So many gorgeous spots for snow out there. I’d be tempted to find an open fire tower and get some looks up there too.

    Definitely do some searching before you go. We found one that looked promising on the last trip but it was all fenced off.

    You could also check out Hemmed-in-Hollow and/or the The Lost Valley. Lots of pretty stuff there.
