Love that fan

 

I’m a DeWalt 20v and 60v guy but also run the Milwaukee m12 line. DeWalt drill just crapped out and I’m just over the 3 year warranty. Tried to do the repair process and damn this is terrible compared to Milwaukee’s.

 

Just bought a DeWalt DWS716 12 in. Double-Bevel Compound Miter Saw. I love this saw! It replaced a 10 in. cheap Ryobi I've had for more than 15 years and could not cut a straight line. It's smooth, quiet and awesome. Perfect 90 degree cuts right out of the box. Goes well with my table saw.

 

Definitely still check it, if you haven’t already.

I’m on my 3rd 780 right now (story in itself) and this last one was the first that I got that was good out of the box. The only thing that was off was the miter gauge needed adjusting like a 1/16th of an inch, but it was good at a 90 and the bevel was ok.

 

Things have been quiet in here. Does anyone have a wishlist of Dewalt tool for Christmas?

 

Hoping to get a dewalt wireless impact gun, and some impact sockets- although the sockets on my list are Tekton and not Dewalt.

 

I'd love to get a 10' table saw. I'm regretting buying the smaller 8 1/4, but can't justify buying one new. So I look at Craigslist once in a while, hoping to find a decent used one.

 

Bought one, love it. Impressive battery life using a 5Ah.

 

hmm well i was thinking about getting one of these. Did you just happen to find two lemons, is this a big problem across the board?

 

Fwiw, I’ve had good service from one of the bigger impact wrenches and a couple of their small impact screwdrivers. D has a 90 day no problemo policy, and if you got a lemon, you’d probably discover it pretty early.

 

And did y'all see the new 12" flexvolt slider? DCS718, $700 bare, 1 battery, no AC adapter...

(Personally still dreaming of a lighter 10" fv double bevel slider. And a 10" fv tablesaw. At this rate, I'll be retired before they build them.)

 

There’s a lot of technology in those that no one else is doing right now, like the battery regen from the blade break. It would surprise me more if it was the same price or less then the old flexvolt….

 

fwiw I haven't heard of anything big across the board, i think i just have shit luck and got 2 lemons.

Santa brought me a folding mitre saw stand for Christmas DWX726.
Gonna be a back saver

 

I have my DWS779 on that stand and love it. The big wheels help it roll pretty well in gravel. It is stable when up and down, just be sure it is locked in place. Best thing is how perfectly it fits in my DCSB.

 

Does anyone have this little guy and how do you like it?

the real insult would be to have done it with ryobi tools.

 

How so? Ryobi is like the kid brother of Milwaukee. Dewalt is it’s arch rival.
