Your tuner and @Vlady are correct that there is nothing within the tune that should affect PCS. But during a flash it can cause DTC's. It's rare, I've only had it happen to my truck maybe twice and both times left the PCS light illuminated. There's a button within vF to clear DTC's. That's all that should be done, assuming you don't have an actual fault.

Not that I'm aware of. Different levels of wear on the transmission, engine and components may vary until the ecm is happy with the new learned values.
That said, I would avoid loosing all that learning at all cost if possible to avoid any dire unintended consequences. I've seen up to several days+ to get it to previous state.

That would be good to know. Last gen1 tundra i had lost all memory once you disconnected the battery.

Im at a loss.. no luck. Reflashed twice, set back to original tune and did the reset of DTCs. It appears the button through VF was being used for reset so I’m not sure if there is a more specific modality needed for reset? Tuner stated he was contacting Matt/VF to see if he has any input but who knows how long a reply and solution will be. Is it worth taking to Toyota? Are they going to have other options or tests that could be run..

Check if the system has its own fuse.
Check fuse and pull it to reset its control unit. Or unplug the battery.

Your tuner likely has Techstream installed. They can pull the codes and see what is going on. I'm not sure if those codes would be displayed on a COTS scanner. Is there anything else you can provide? Mods or repairs of any sort, all that were done prior to the light illuminating. For example, aftermarket pro grille or replacement windshield.
No dedicated fuse for PCS that I can tell. Based on that, I would assume that if a fuse was blown, there would be other issues. But my assumptions are not always correct.

Through a lot of due diligence, in short, I have found out that the tuner put an old tune/file on my truck. The main individual was not even contacted for the newest tune version and procedure that he utilizes for remote tuners to access and assign to each truck. Rug pulled. This has been insane and dangerous, frankly.

No. I’m giving it until tomorrow for them to communicate whatever needs to be done. Both are legit business owners. I am still trying to connect pieces as I’ve received differing inputs from the both of them. About to embark on a 1,000 mile road trip Thursday morning too..

Could try pulling the battery, although I'm not sure if that can clear those kinds of codes. Also, you didn't mention any mods or repairs you may have done, which could narrow it down if it's unrelated to flashing.

Yes, tomorrow morning I am. Nonetheless, I have a tune on my truck that is not the latest version nor specially intended for me and my VIN. Also, I am driving a stock 21 OR. Zero mods. Besides a a new set of stock size AT’s and a softopper haha

Curious what you mean by the bold.
And while you wait, you could check the connections at the grille. I would love to provide more in-depth steps but I have not grabbed the repair manual that covers years with PCS.

Sorry, the tuner who built this tune around OV tune locks his “version 3” tune which remote tuners in his network can request the file when they send over a customers VIN. If that makes sense? And is it ok for me to simply unplug the connection to front sensor behind Toyota emblem? And then plug back in?

It may be fine, but disconnect the battery first, just to be safe. Also inspect the connectors when you disconnect. And for shits & grins, might as well make sure your battery has a good voltage. I think the headunit is the first to typically freak out if the voltage is low, but doesn't mean other things might not play nice.

Wow. That was a process. Was able to take it to tuner out in LA who discovered the guy did an update? to front camera sensor while tuning and it essentially disabled it (like Toyota has done with their software upgrade for people that have major lifts/mods and want permanent disable option). There was no back step available or work around beyond replacing the front sensor.. apparently the disable code is stored in the sensor, who knew. Once we replaced the sensor everything was back to normal and he gave me the upgraded tune version which also should of been done in the first place.

    Why in the world would..?

Yes, that "update" permanently disables PCS until the radar module is replaced.

Glad you were able to get it sorted out, even though that was a huge pain and that update should not have been flashed to your truck. Good lesson for your tuner though, I'm sure.
