Yikes! I just towed a 16' tandem axle trailer with a 1200lb SXS on it for around 70 miles and my gas mileage sucked ass and was running around 2900 rpm at 70 mph. Of course I'm running 35's on stock gearing so I'm not really expecting much.

    1. Hey I live in Waimea big island and am trying to sell our Dakar OME CS046RA/B set up. The person interested has a 2001 Tacoma with Bilstein 5100 and blocks. They have a 6inch lift. They want to get rid of the blocks but don't know if these left springs will work. Who ever can help please

I'm here in Hilo bro. Sorry but those won't fit. Those Dakar springs are for a 2.75" lift. The blocks on a fabtech 6" lift are 4.5" tall. Will be way too short.

However, I've seen people stack Dakar leaf packs ontop of a 4.5" block + max out the coilovers up front for a 9" lift

Wāhine here he said he has a 2001 Tacoma with Bilstein 5100s and one 4 inch block. Says he has a 6 inch lift and just doesn't want it to sag. Could he put a 2" block and the Dakar? I read a post from ground to fender before and after installing the Dakar there was a 4 inch difference. Let me know if you know anyone who like buy. We are selling them for $800 with OME bushings, OME extended Ubolts and shackles.

It should work with a 2" block, give or take an inch or so. Also, remember that springs will settle a whole lot before they are at their final ride height. Plus plenty people dont know how to measure anyway.

Haha true. Ok thank you I will let them know. They wanted to get rid of the blocks all together. But idk how they can with 5100s that seems over extended already

For those curious the old strut spacers measured 4" and the new assembled strut was 1" longer

I like the idea of eliminating the strut spacer. The previous owner put a DB lift on my truck so I've made the best of it. I still want to get a strut long enough to eliminate my spacer.

Both Icon and Fox makes a 6" longer strut than stock for the front. I talked with a rep at Shocks Surplus about the icon set. They were going to cost $1600 for the front two. That still wasn't going to solve the rear problem. I wanted a cost effective option for the both. With all the parts I order it ran me $1850. Still a chunk of change I know but this was the complete setup.
    Bilstein RCD 5100s front
    Dobinsons C59-300 coils
Yotamafia Extended brake lines front and rear
    Dobinsons tophats for strut
Bilstein 5100 4.5-5" shocks for rear
    Dobinsons 111-R leaf packs
Dobinsons rear bushing set for leafs
2" steel blocks with new u bolts

I still need new bumps. The rear is easy but the front is where the problem lies.
I need extended bumps and not sure where to aquire these...

I also see that your sway bar link is contacting your spring. I noticed that on mine too. I'm looking for extended sway bar end links. I know this would solve the issue. Maybe 2" longer, even an inch may do it.

It’s due to the fact it’s missing the sway bar drop bracket

How do you like the JBA UCA? I was looking into those but didn't think it was needed. Maybe in the future though

I wasn't aware of the bracket you're talking about... Got a link to one?

I tried looking for a link via pro comp website (since that’s what I have) with zero success.
I would try and call them tho

here’s a pic (bad one imo) but you can see the brackets

Thanks for the heads up. Did your kit not come with them or just didn't install?

The sway bar relocation bracket that came with the lift is installed in that picture, but regardless it still sits too close to the strut.
