Did I hear that after springing ahead this spring no more daylight savings time

I think it might be true

 

If I can remember we'll do that tomorrow

 

That would be nice, especially for hunting season and trying to rush for an afternoon hunt after work

I would have voted in to poll because I do return my cart every time because I believe in doing the right thing even when no one is looking.. it's definitely NOT because I have a heart though

Also, it doesn’t stop the clocks as they are now, it makes daylight savings permanent. They want us to spring forward one more time and leave it there.

Idiotic if you ask me. It was tried in the 70’s and did not work out at all. That’s how we got to the current system.

 

Why? It serves no purpose...

 

In the late 70's, early 80's times were tough with my Dad newly retired from the Army and having to start over finding a new career/living in Maine(both parents native state). Add in three teenagers, two being boys and money was tight. Unwrapping at Christmas was done carefully to avoid ripping the paper. The used paper was set aside so as to not be crumpled or otherwise ruined. After all the gifts had been unwrapped, boxes had been recycled to be used the next year then the ironing board came out and Mom ironed all the used wrapping paper, cutting off any pieces that had been damaged too much to be salvaged then it went away for use for next Christmas.

Serious question. When was the last time you actually had to go back in your records and "prove" something? I have tried to adopt the one year for stuff, 5 years for financial paperwork rule. If I have not touched clothes and certain other household items in a year then I probably do not need them. Off to Goodwill they go. Financial paper work. 5 years is the measuring stick. If I really think that the info might be important I take a digital picture of it and put it on a thumb drive. There are always exceptions to the rule but even loosely following these guidelines saves a ton of room.

I have just spent too much time cleaning out the homes of relatives that have passed away or who are downsizing. I don't want my kids to have to go through my mess when the time comes.

 

Some people want daylight savings, some don't. I always thought a good compromise was to change the clocks by a half hour once and leave them alone all year long. That splits the difference and either makes both sides happy or pisses both sides off.

Spring forward and leave it...

 

Shopping carts. I have been known to return an extra cart or someone else's cart before. And even organize the cart corral so that the carts are not sticking out into the traveling lane between parking places. But I acknowledge I am weird.

 

Sometimes I do that too, I think it has something to do with my OCD though.
