My latest "rescue" who is like 5 months now has a favorite toy that she is placing in the litter box, food bowl, and water bowl

Do you think its possible she's imaging this toy as her kitten?

She's spayed fwiw. Reddit was no help

Yes IME it's possible even if she's spayed. I had a cat that would nest with socks lol

My daughter went and picked up a bottle of pressure washer pump antifreeze. I keep the pressure washer it in the garage. Temps are expected near zero later this week. It's been a good unit that I bought back in 2010.

It was the only type I could find yesterday. I've used the Briggs Stratton type in a pressurized can with a dispenser tube in the past with good results. I think a lot of people decided to treat their pumps for this cold snap.

And so the hunt for good warm gloves is on, girlfriend can’t keep her hands warm in this weather. I wonder if any of the plethora of heated ones on Amazon are worth anything.

If she has poor circulation warmed ones are the way to go. I don't wear gloves unless I absolutely have to because my fingers usually end up freezing in them, I don't generate enough warmth for the gloves to do anything.

Yeah she does due to a previous accident. Also she’s out there all day.

I have the same problem, once I separate the fingers they all get cold. Or if they get warm somehow, they sweat, then get cold  Mittens are fine, but can’t work in mittens.

Is that kind of repair acceptable there? Some states fail anything that has been welded.

I've found that sometimes when my fingers go numb it's actually because I need to insulate my core or arms better. My warmest gloves still won't work in that case--a good base layer is more helpful for me.

Yeah I asked her about that. The rest of her is on the verge of sweating, hands are so cold they hurt.
