We had someone from the county come out and re assess a couple years ago. Came down a bit if I recall. Doesn't really matter, still has to be paid and they will find a way to get you in the end.

It gets even better than that...

In my county, almost 70 percent of my property taxes are a result of state and federal mandated programs that my county is forced to levy onto property owners. I get a nice pie chart every year, showing me who to blame for my high taxes, along with a list of names, addresses, and phone numbers of the elected officials responsible...

The budget is the budget. They will get their money. Maybe you can contest it and get a reduction. But the rest of the county will pay. If 1 out of 10,000 contest and get a reduction, the other 9,999 won't see it. But if half do... well, you get the picture.

it's got 4:88's in it, any smaller and he's gonna regret it. Mentioned that to him today. He'll be cruising College Ave in 5th gear. Prolly gonna run around $1600.00 for a new set, also mentioned that to him, He's taken it to the Springs twice already just for fun, I could def tell a difference in the tread depth since I sold it to him.
Not my truck, not my problem.

I bought a small house in Monument so I could have a place to stay while I worked in Colorado. It was new construction and they poured concrete into the basement air conditioning and furnace drains, which then plugged up the main sewer line, they also plugged up the sump pump drain line, but just put the sump pump in like there was nothing wrong.

The builder sent somebody over to cut out the concrete in the lines and filled up the house up with concrete dust.

I didn’t find out that they also plugged up the sump pump drains until the house flooded after a hail storm.
