Went ahead and tossed on some Lamin-X foglight film on my OEM LED fog lights to get some "tacticool" going on lol. Click the link in my signature for a discount on LaminX products.

biggest difference is the insanely long hood compared to the 1st gen. that thing feels like it goes for miles hoping out of one and into the other

Just like any other led in a non led housing. Foreground glare is all they do.

I never had any issues with the previous ones blinding oncoming traffic. It kept the light pattern mostly the same, just brighter. It wasn’t all over the place like you see on a lot of import cars that just slap in some bright a55 bulbs that light up the world

edit: I’ll update later with some pics of the cutoff once it’s dark outside.

I guess I should note that I kept my original bulbs in the truck just in case these do end up having issues.

I know one consideration is that the LEDs, while brighter, do only project light from two sides (as opposed to the original bulbs) that project light from all sides. That will definitely affect the overall projection pattern.

Good post, I didn't think of researching this topic. I just purchased what I purchased because another member said he had these before, and liked them, so he's buying them again. But there really is a lot to think about. If I like these I like them, if not i'll do more research and get different lights. hehe :)

That’s exactly what I did. One try at the bulb was enough for me. I said screw this and yanked that shit right down.

From themselves?? The correct way is to cast your eyes to the right side of the road. And you won’t be blinded.

I did the same thing this morning. Tried sticking tape onto them and pulling, like a post I saw online, but it wasn’t working. Pulling the entire assembly out was much easier.

I started skimming over that thread yesterday as well. If you end up hating your bulbs you can blame me

And now I know that you already know more than me, except you told me what you know so now I know what you know. Thanks; I love to learn.

I tried that many times, the correct way that is. If I also had eyeball extensions, placing the eyeballs 25' or more off the right-side of the vehicle near the ditch just hovering the grass, it may have worked. But instead, I was blinded each time. It's just some of the vehicles, I've seen about 10 or so of these lights around my town, almost like their brights were on.

Looks a little green from the pic.

Having a 6000k+ led with a selective yellow film will show green.

Would be better with a 5000k led
