You should put a small one or two in the overhead console. This is what Audi does from factory. It provides a faint red ambient glow over the entire interior to make it easier to find buttons. Europe had the option of also having that in the rear.

And lights in the doors. Red on the back to show oncoming cars it’s open. White underneath to illuminate where you step

 

Is the 2015 also a double cab king bed? If so I believe the only difference will be the charcoal canister mount on the crossmemeber

 

I may end up adding some more along those lines. My GX470 had ambient lighting like that and the recessed overhead LEDs. 5th gen 4Runners too, it’s very nice having the dim lighting for cab visibility

 

Installed sumo springs part # SSR 610-40 on my DCSB with factory springs and camper shell. Gave the truck a nice little lift in the rear, and firmed up the ride. Night and day difference. Extremely happy with my purchase and glad I decided on them over airbags with my tight time line before my road trip to Fort Hood.

Yes the 2015 double cab can come with a 73.5 inch long box, so that being said I would just have to remount my charcoal canister?

@TreeFortRichard what your saying is you simply eliminated the head liner and put good quality in the front door, both mids and tweeters, yes? this is where I'm at as well. Sound is good, night/day compared to stock. Still all output from sizable drivers is sent into the wells. Sure wish there was some small solution of decent quality for the headliner unit. The decisions made regarding sound on the 2.5 gen Tacoma's sure are a headscratcher.

Anyone successfully replaced 2.5 mini door panels with older 2nd gen?

 

Yes the 2008 Off Road AC has stock rear door speakers and the 2012 SR5 AC has no speakers or speaker openings in the rear doors. Just the ghost headliner speakers. When I put Kickers and tweeters in the 2012 front doors they sounded much better on the stock radio.

These were their dark gray. Not very dark though.

This set is the full PVC version and were only $233. Look identical to the leather ones. I have had these on for nearly 16 months and they are wearing just as good as my previous leather versions. The bolsters are PVC on the leather set and I never had an issue in 5.5 years of use. That is why I went budget PVC for this truck.

 

I know they said my camber bolt was frozen on my driver side so they got it as close to factory spec as possible

 

Nothing a little paint can't take care of... much better now!

Yup.
I actually had to set the crossovers to like -2.5db for the tweeters because they were SO BRIGHT.
It sounds great now. I don't need night club base thump...I prefer general admission floor middle at a rock show...and for the most part I'm listening to podcasts anyhow and just wanted to be able to hear the radio with the windows down!
