@RCI-Offroad got a buddy or two with 2012-2015 Tacos, wondering if your rear bumper will fit their trucks.

On your website it shows up in the second gen section (as well as the 3rd) , but it still says 2016+ on it

Everyone in the Midwest uses and abuses Falken Wildpeak AT3Ws in the weather and out on the trails and they hold up well

I’m curious how these Kendas are holding up as well and whether you had to chop for that size.

No they fit perfect. Wish more companies offered this size as it really is a perfect size tire for these Tacos.

I actually decided to upgrade to the new Taco Pro rims so ended up moving these rims and tires to a GX. Got nothing bad to say about them. In fact if they made this tire in a 33” for a 16” rim I probably would have gone with them again. Great tire in all conditions and much better overall tire than the KO2s I was previously running (noticeably better traction in the wet). Also look great.

If your thinking about getting a set I would say go for it!

    All the things!
No fab shop is going to pay for a proper tow rating test... it's just a disclaimer.

I've towed a small trailer with mine (doing it again monday) and it does fine.

A lot of good information everyone. Just got mine and preparing to install. If anyone running a 33" spare under the bed has photos with details on how much they cut off the tow hitch (if any), I would love to see if before I get to work on my own.

You shouldn't need to cut anything just bend those little spars that stabilize the tire once it's up under there.

Old thread but I just wanted to state my experience with this bumper. I have a 2016 and the holes did not line up, we had to drill out the middle hole so it would line up properly. Not really happy with how no matter what we tried, we could not get the body lines to match up, even after drilling out the holes better, but it’s pretty close. Based on this thread I bought this bumper but kinda disappointed in how much work it took to get it to install. At least it looks good.

Did you tighten one side before getting the bolts lined up on the other?

Did you remove those downward facing tabs and bolt them to the bumper before lining it up? Or leave them on and try to line up the bumper that way?

We had all bolts in but loose with one person on each side and a floor jack holding it up by the hitch, lined it up as tight as it would go and tightened all the bolts. And I'm not sure by what you mean by the downward facing tabs, the plastic inserts under the taillights? Those were both completely removed because they would get in the way during install. The directions were definitely lacking and I spent time in this thread before attempting the install.

Edit, I just understood what you meant by downward facing tabs. You mean the bracket the bottom two bolts go on? We never removed those, we loosened one on accident though. Those were never an issue though, or at least didn't seem to be an issue. That middle bolt was keeping us from pushing it far enough forward. A touch more upward movement would have lined it up perfectly.
