    I really like it too! I figured it was appropriate because nuclear fusion for power on earth means we're only a couple decades away from generation ships, right? ;-)

    I found the image in a DailyMail article (sorry) about some illustrations NASA commissioned back in the 1970s. I believe the artist's name was Rick Guidice, but don't take that as absolute fact. Here is the article, if you're interested.

    My thought was “Shit! Going where no man has gone before!” It’s very slightly less intimidating when it’s a repeat trip, even if it’s been a really long time between. Even so, I’ll be enormously envious of anyone selected. Tim Dodd will have a hard time staying excited after this.
