I wouldn’t expect to see those until 2024.

Maybe the SUV will continue selling well but I don’t see a huge customer base for an expensive midsize luxury pickup truck. Most of the Rivians I see are either a company truck with advertising on it or driven by a yuppy looking guy. Eventually those yuppies are going to realize that they don’t need or like driving a pickup and go back to their BMWs.

Maybe. I see a whole lot of people driving top trim pickup trucks and never using them to do anything but move people around. Most truck owners never tow a trailer or do anything that actual requires a truck, they just like them.

I agree but not many of those trucks cost $90K.

Not all but it’s easy to configure a full-size truck to $80k plus if you want the nice stuff.

Before 2023 is over I think Stellantis is going to purchase Rivian Automotive. Stellantis badly needs to get in EV business, and Rivian is going to need a bailout.

You got to hedge your bets. I’m betting before 2023 is over you’ll have predicted every car manufacturer or Amazon will buy Rivian.

@WaitingOnMyR1T have you decided what to do after the latest max pack update? Still holding out for a max pack but with the dual motors now?

Saw my first Amazon rivian delivery van in the wild today.

Have seen a few getting shipped via trailer but never operating. They’re large.

I’m probably switching to a large pack quad motor R1T or R1S. The 2024 delivery timeframe already had me thinking, and regularly checking the R1 Shop.

Of course but those are a small percentage of the trucks that the big manufacturers sell. I think if Rivian is going to be successful long term that they need to produce a reasonably priced vehicle and sell a lot of them.

I think you’re probably never getting a Rivian.

Dude, you’ve been talking about buying one and doing research for years and had plenty of opportunities to get one. Now you’re thinking SUV? You’ll get your Rivian at the same time as me. Never.

This kind of annoys me. The gear tunnel doors have these cool storage spots, one for the air compressor hose and the other I think has a little first aid kit in it. Unfortunately they only have one latch on one side and unless you manage to pack the contents exactly how it came from the factory the lid doesn’t sit flat. Minor, but annoying to look at. Luckily it’s minor and I can just shut the door and not see it.

Is that the corner you were talking about that likes to hit legs, just out of frame?
