    Sorry..
    But not surprising….
Cities and towns want their fingers in everything so they can tax you on it..
But petitioning is a good idea but, don’t get your hopes up.

Is there any access to the wiring before the box? I was thinking splicing in a box before the main panel
to minimize issues with the interior walls etc..

A little something every chance we get.
The City does have a way with permits, that keeps everyone avoiding them when possible. Getting the solar done was an exercise in frustration, taking 9 months to accomplish - BUT - the installer turned out to be a POS. Lots of finger pointing between them and the City until I made myself the GC, and got things on track. (Not faster, but on track with less arguing). They really can't tax me for it - we're OLD!! And tax is frozen. And during the solar, the City had to be here for each meter touch. So, I'm kind of hoping that having them do it actually is a benefit for them. We shall see. The guy is not unreasonable, and I know him a little from that. Being one of a handful of solar owners here, he'll remember that. Holidays and all will slow things down, but I will see what I can do.

That's one of the things I like about the bonaville, they kept the original looks and style of it but with modern upgrades like better brakes, fuel injection, etc.

Mice chewed all the wires and it shorted out the inverter. Parts were going to be over a grand and labor near a grand .

Generator was free to me ,it was a 2010 model . I used it twice in 8 years so I took $700 for it and let someone else worry about fixing it . I am mechanically challenged o_O

2 good bits of luck today: Had a 1 year follow-up MRI on a pancreatic tumor (pre-cancerous) that popped on a test last year. Tumor is stable so I will have another re-look next year. Life is good.

And, we bought 2 12 Days of Christmas raffle tickets for a local shelter - and won this. Of course, I don't play so I do, officially, feel old.

Dang, I never win anything! Even stuff I don't want. ;)

Speaking of cancer it has officially entered my sphere. Squamous cell carcinoma on my cheek. Moh's surgery is scheduled for early 2023. I agree @Devious6 , life is good.

I'm behind a couple days but I'll give you my 2 pennies worth, it turned 65 this yr and I can't give you much advice about your area, but here in nd. We have a few options. I sat down with a broker my 69yr old bride used 4 yrs ago, and I couldn't be happier I did she looked at my heath background and available coverages she didn't goes with the Part c option because she explained it as a hmo. It's nor for everyone, but she sat with us compared everything she had available about 2+ hrs. I've switched others to her.

Lessons learned. We're prepped. Haven't heard the neighbors' little chump generator backfire for a while. Sorry, don't have any gas to spare, but come on over, coffee's on.

    Enjoy the day!

I have to drive down to see my aunt - now in the hospital - and my uncle - in a nursing facility - to try to finish up my uncle's Medicaid paperwork and then head to their apartment to feed their cat. My uncle is heading rapidly into dementia and my aunt is struggling with losing him. Ugh.
