Well it's Monday, only 4 days this week, yay!
I plugged the truck in Saturday, hope the block heater is still working. It was a hard start Saturday morning without it.

No other state bans empty semi trailers every time you get a threat of snow. Most trucking companies only pay when the truck is moving, paid by the mile only. Pa put the highest tax on gas to maintain the roads, and they are still garbage. If that isn’t bad enough, they are trying to put toll bridges on I81 and I80. Everyone wonders why there is a truck driver shortage, it’s because of very low pay. You can make just as much working in a warehouse and be home everyday.

Just enough to look kinda cool.
This morning was fun, -2 at my house and the taco had a flat tire so that got me half an hour late waiting for air fittings to thaw out. Then the dump truck was an ice block, it started but had to thaw out air lines so I could use the bed. Well two different torches didn’t get it thawed out so I go to drop my trailer and park in the heated shop And well my trailer is frozen to my truck and I can’t un hitch it. So bust out the torches again so I can drop my trailer and get the truck into the shop… oh it was a morning in the cold.

    Update, blew an airbag.
The flat tire was annoying but only because it was my problem that I’m guna have to deal with after work. But frozen airlines I’m fine with cause I’m young and was getting payed to fiddle fart around with a blowtorch. :welder:

Ha Ha Ha most of the Pa fuel Tax goes to support Mass Transit in Philadelphia and Pittsburgh .

Many of The Pa state Roads are in decent shape the interstates Suck and city streets are poor.

Small lift, slightly oversized tires, well...
End of the day yesterday, was looking like it was going to be a really short day, dispatch says: how about doing a quick trailer swap before you go, it's only 5 mi away? I said sure. Go back to the yard, drop my full trailer, pick an MT and head to customer to swap. Friggin' loaded trailer has 70 damned bills! The stack of paper was almost 2" thick (2 copies for them, 1 for us)! Took an hour and a half to sign all the papers!! Looked inside the trailer...what a shitshow!!! Felt sorry for the poor bastard that had to unload that mess.

Yeah my boss tried to pull a last load on me at the the end of the day. I said no. I said she can expedite that 3 skid load that's an hour and a half away one way, and in rush hour traffic. No thanks. It would have been another 12 to 13+ hour day.
