I had dealer installed on our '21 Tacoma. Our 2023 TRD-OR is in, pick up Tuesday. I am looking at hard fold Tonneaus, leaning toward Extang Solid Fold 2.0.
    Appreciate any comments.

I suspect they are all pretty good. Lots of us have the BakFlip MX4 - I really like mine.

What tonneau cover would you guys recommend for a 2022 Trail Edition with the cargo boxes? I've noticed that most covers specify that they will not fit Trail Editions. Any help is appreciated.

BakFlip is a favorite here on TW. I have the G2. No regrets.

Looking at BakFlip G2. Looked at their site video. The drain tube, drill any holes at exit for this ?
I am sure I can contact them or just go to their instructions.

    Thanks !

There are 2 drain tubes, you can drill holes to connect them to, but I didn't. Mine are just on top of the wheel wells.
I haven't had any significant water in my bed.
Also, wait for a deal. I think they have gone up a bit, but I got mine on sale for $721 at the BakFlip store on Amazon.

Here is a link to some pics.

I believe that most covers relocate the bed rail, which will conflict with the cargo boxes. The DiamondBack does not relocate the rails. It is a great cover, but I'm not familiar with how the access doors on the cargo boxes open and those may also conflict with the DiamondBack.

No complaints with the tacoma one. It seals/works well, and its strong like bull. You can put some weight on top of it.

I had some kind of soft roll-up tonneau when I bought my truck…and hated it. Spent $900 on a hard fold-up cover & am very pleased so far. It’s functional & looks 100% better.

Undercover Flex, awesome flush fit cover and super easy to install. I would buy this one again in a heartbeat.

There’s another thread on this but I connected the BAKFlip MX4 drain tubes to a brass fitting that can use the existing holes.

They still rattle a little but I plan to wrap a little electrical tape on them until they are snug.

That is a really good idea! I just tucked mine under the OEM bed mat.

I will have to either punch a hole or cut a notch in my bed mat.

BakFlip MX4 was my choice. Had it for about a year without any issues.

I like the newer bed covers that fold all the way up instead of just the first two panels. Shop around.

Yup, I tuck the tubes behind the bed mounting spot on the sides and run it under the bed mat.

I have a Lomax tri-fold hard cover. I chose it because it doesn’t require moving any of the bed tie down rails.

I’ve owned it for a bit more than a year and found it much better than the old roll-up soft cover I had on my previous Tacoma. The panels are very secure, but light weight and easy to open or close. The last panel (closest to the cab) is fixed in my model, but if I need the full bed, I can simply take off the entire cover with just a couple of clips. It is a one person job and not that heavy (although it is a bit bulky to carry just due to size).

It isn’t perfectly watertight (close, but I wouldn’t transport family heirlooms in the truck bed during a rainstorm), but where I get water is by the tailgate, so I think it is coming in from those gaps and not from the cover.

I would connect with @GotExhaust here. He had very competitive prices and carries a range of models.
