What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

That is why its sitting there. I bought it, looked into doing it and decided to just buy a new one lol Another option is just order a new one from CVJ and send your blown out one back to them. Swapping the axel is easy rebuilding not as easy.

 

Today I rigged up a 3/16" marker board to cover the storage area behind the rear seats, to prevent my dog from stepping / falling into that area. Originally this was going to be just a template, as my plan was to make this out of die-bond once I got the size sorted - but this material is stiff enough I don't think I need to make any changes. Currently it is held on by friction to the seat latches, but I will probably add velcro to make everything more secure. Size is 48" x 18.5", overall not a bad mod for $9 if you want to keep the rear cubbies & seats.

It looks like they're using it as a divider rather than a floor, that said it will get a pretty good static charge going.

That's a great idea! Came out nice.

 

That is a wise idea. I think, if you are in Denver, that I would coat the ratchet "square" hole with grease and look for a rubber plug to cover the hole. Might help keep salt, or other corrosive road crap, from collecting and causing problems later.

From what I read there are several variants for the Kicker CS that have numbers following the CS. Are you able to provide that info for the speakers you have purchased over the years?

CS693 3 way with 450 watts peak power. In my 3rd gen I had CS694 (BASICALLY SAME SPEAKERS). Looks like CS6934 is the current version of these.

Tires make more of a difference than people understand. dedicated snow/ice tires will make most cars way more capable.

 

who's (fiberglass) fenders do you have, and how much bump/flare are they? Looks great!
