Very odd that they wouldn't have designed that to have a rounded corner.

Lots of potential for Mad Max mods. I think it bugs the hell out of you if you try to drive with them deployed? Also, for next Halloween when you and Ferg are both tooling around town in your Rivs:

It would look strange given how the fender it folds out from is shaped.

I don't know exactly what the shape of the tunnel is behind there, but I'm thinking that they likely could have done something alone these lines?

WTF. That’s dangerous. Imagine a kid or dog running into that.

Could be but I ran into way more sharp sticks and shit when I was a kid and survived. If left down frequently around small kids a section of pool noodle or pipe insulation wouldn’t be the worst decision. Or just close the doors.

A pool noodle will work but it would have been way more convenient if Rivians designers learned how to visual things in 3 dimensions. A sharp knife edge like that never should have made it to production.

Don't most vehicles have a door with a 90ish degree corner on them? The Tacoma does.

Yeah but it’s not sideways and also used as a step.
I have hit my leg in the corner of the Tacoma door a few times.

About as ignorant as a warning on coffee that says “caution hot”.

It's also open far less than a driver's side door. I use the driver's door 100% of the times I use my truck. I'd use this little door maybe 10% of the time.

I've never run into the corner of my door. Neither have my dogs. Sounds like a you problem. Consider wrapping yourself in pool noodles if you run into doors so often that this is an issue.

Sure...maybe it doesn't need to be there but I can't see it being that much of an issue.

It’s not a normal door. It opens down and acts as a step. Look at the picture above. Do you see many ladders or step stools designed with knife blades sticking out of them?

That’s not quite what ignorant means.

Stellantis seems to be the most probable right now. Given each company could offer something the other one wants or needs. Rivian could be absorbed into the Jeep brand, given the offroad nature of each brand. Amazon has already partnered with both Ram, and Rivian for E delivery vans.

Four days of vampire drain monitoring with gear guard on completed with the expected results of higher loss. Average loss was 4.75% and 15.25 miles at 5°. If I don’t include last night (8%/27miles/-6°) it is 2.75%, 8.5 miles at 8.6° average. Gear guard definitely consumes more energy by keeping all the cameras running constantly. It also tries to keep the cameras defrosted and it snowed last night along with the cold front.

Tonight will also be cold so I’m going to see what the loss looks like without gear guard active on back to back nights with similar conditions.

Thank you for this info. Cold couple of days here. Do you park outside?
Also, were you on Fort Carson yesterday about 11:30am? I saw an R1T on base.
