Yeah, sounds right. I suppose with road trips in apocalyptical snow conditions, there is still going to be enough variety in road conditions that would make airing down a problem at some point. I guess that’s why they make the Hakkachikkakkapalitas or whatever they’re called.

By the way, skinnies on a Tacoma is about the rightest thing there is in the world. I wish 4runners could pull off that look. The early 5th gens 4runners that came with the blockish headlights could, but something about the newer pokemon headlights, it just changes the whole vibe of the 4runner.

Hakkapliittas are definitely the shiznit. Blizzaks are great, also. I guess the best snow tires have the weirdest names.

I saw a picture of a 5th gen with skinnies and it definitely turned me off to them. I'm happy with fat tires, though.

    Merry Christmas ya filthy animals!

Been busy with inventory and the kiddo getting whatever's been going around. But a recent rescheduled pediatric visit shows a good bill of health finally and updated shots (took them like a champ). I'll have to check out that brewery on my own time.

Definitely in for Wyalusing still. Just curious if site 155 is ideal around that time with my daughter in mind. Otherwise I was looking at 113 near the other restrooms.

I'd say site 155 would be fine. None of the restrooms are a far walk (just valt toilets are open, there is no running water at that time of year). And 155 is close to the shelter where we'll most likely be hanging out and having a fire if it's really cold.

@Supr4Lo Perfect! Just the answer I was looking for. I'll make sure to plan accordingly then and see what the missus thinks. Regardless, I just finished reserving 155. Can't wait to check out this place. The campsites alone look incredible. Screenshot_20221226-115440~2.jpg

I am putting this on my calendar as a possibility as I probably won't be ready for camping by then but maybe. I am also starting a new job in January and I could be traveling to Michigan a lot so not sure if I will be available. It is on the calendar.

Bonehead vehicle owner of the month, possibly the year. My instrument cluster for the past week has been resetting every time I started up. Normally have it set to as tank mpg readout, but would end up back at speedometer. I figured a short and checked my fuses. They were fine. It NEVER occurred to me that the battery was dying...until this morning when I was headed to an appointment and the truck would not turning over. :annoyed: So, 2 lessons for me: 1. Instrument cluster resetting is a clue about battery health 2. Average battery life is 3-4 years?!?

    Buying a better battery today.

    Ooh, that sucks!

I recently learned that AGM isn't worth the extra money unless you get your charging output adjusted via tune, or use a trickle charger periodically. Otherwise, stick to a regular style battery.

*Shrugs....The Odyssey in the first gen has been in there the last 6.5 years with no problems. I can't imagine a much worse life for a battery than it's lived too...sits for months at a time with no tender, I've run it down to 0v repeatedly by leaving stuff on, and hard winch pulls. I think the battery diode stuff is more good marketing than anything but I could be wrong.

I got into a debate about this the other night. Out of curiosity, I tested my battery the next morning and only read 12.1 volts, which is pretty weak for a year old battery. It might be fine, but it was enough to make me decide to top it off occasionally. :notsure:

Hope you guys had a good Holiday and everyone is doing well. Seeing if you guys mind if I jump in for the Wyalusing camping trip in April. I would be grabbing my own site. I’ll be up in Wisconsin getting the trailer out of storage. It would be a good 1st trip of the year. It’s at the state park correct?

    or get a solar panel.

if you are running stuff off the battery its still worth it cuz you have more ah of storage in an agm vs lead acid.

Oh yeah, jumped in on the Wyalusing trip. Booked site 144, being hopeful that I'll be good enough by then.
